CoP won't run that well if you only have 1 gig of RAM.

Oh. Well I played through SoC with a really old laptop that had 1 gig of RAM, it didn't run too terribly. I did have to run it at static lighting though.

I just had a " What the FUUUUUCK?!" moment. I happily got Clear Sky to finish my collection of the Stalker series. Now, here's the thing, I have pretty shitty quality internet, and there is no other services where I live (Otherwise I'd have switched a while ago) so my games download from Steam at about 150-200KB/s Which means it takes about 4-5 hours to get a 5GB game. I was really hoping to play a little bit of Clear Sky after I finished some Coursework and before I head off to bed. I happily check Steam to see how it's going and, 10% in 30 minutes! Great, at this rate...hold on what the fuck? back to 0%? Ah well, I still have a chance right? No, just 10 minutes ago after a few more hours of waiting and finally seeing it hit 60% it magically hits 0% again. To top that, it's now going at 70 KB/s. Ah well, that's what you get when you have an awesome day, there's going to be something biting you in the ass. At least I'll get to play it tomorrow after I leave it downloading for the night.

Can someone give me a translation of CoP? I have the Russian version and I want to install some mods but I can't pluck the translation files from my gamedata folder.

I actually want to download the shitty translation (once my game shows up, I don't wanna make it go through steam and what not.) just for shits and giggles.

Fucking Controllers. I go into Yantar and get all the stashes, meanwhile helping out freedom kill the duty members there and getting all the loot and selling it. When the constant noise of a controller is going off. So I say fuck it grab my gauss rifle and go into the gated area of the outside of the lab and kill the fucker. One shot. There is still the noise. Fuck. It. I'm just going to bed now.

Controllers are extremely easy to kill as long as you have the balls to get up close and bash theirs head in with bullets.

I would suggest SoC and then CoP for the story. CoP for just the game, I guess. And if you have extra money, maybe throw Clear Sky in there too.
