I don't find it that hard at all to navigate around the interface or build a roller coaster.
I played the demo years ago and I just remembered having a hard time with the UI.
I didn't like 3, and never played 2. I think I prefer a great looking isometric game than a mediocre looking 3D game. That, and I think the ambient noises and feeling of the third is different.
Anyone know where I can buy the second one for download? Preferably with both expansions. I saw it on D2D but it was missing the second expansion.
I got the first RCT in a Lucky Charms cereal box, then instantly fell in love with it when I started to play it.

Oh the joyous memories, I have around 150 custom built coasters, most of them with above 8 excitement ratings.
I did Führer Land in RTC3 once. It was awesome, complete with a camp, and nazi propaganda and flowers aranged in Swastikas and complete symetry.

this park was fucking massive. i had to have worked on it for no less than two months to perfect everything
i took certain track ideas and color schemes from preexisting parks/rides, but everything is still custom designed

I just played this recently, to relive the days, but then my peeps had some bug and started walking in circles, ALL OF THEM, and my park rating when down because they coudn't find the exit.

Yeah, I remember that bug. It's easy just to raise a block of water wherever they're pacing and have them drown to death. Yeah the park will go down in rating for a bit, but it'll bounce back up real nice.
I remember trapping visitors on a square of land then having the height set to the max.
Then my friend and I would randomly name visitors and see if we could find them 5 minutes after.
Grr, my disc cracked just enough to not load.
It just thinks forever on My Computer, sometimes it displays the drives, but when I click it freezes up.
Anyone sell these anywhere?

If it's installed on your computer, you could legally download a nocd crack.
RCT3 is good for recreations, RCT1 & RCT2 are good for tycoon games.
I have a no CD crack for my RCT3 Gold. I hate opening my disc tray over and over to put it in, and the disc is beginning to get scratched this way. So, I just keep it stored in safety until I need to reinstall it.
I get teary eyed thinking about the times I had on RCT1, I remember my first "good", coaster, most of mine normally got 5.5 on the excitement scale, albeit I was young and foolish at the time, and, one day, a coaster got around 7.
Fuck. Yeah.
All my coasters either ended being like 1.2 excitement, or ending in a leap into a mountain or something.
God I sucked at this game.

I went over his house and he had a huge park, but he was really pissed off because nobody would ride his coasters, so I took a look. They went down gigantic hills and at the bottom took unbanked turns then did little bumps all of the way back.

Haha, yeah, I suck at building, too.
Normally I'm proud of my stuff and it ends up with an intensity level of 14 :(
Therefor I like stuff like go cards where you just go up and down and left and right.
I made a map for RCT2 which was a recreation of my whole street and the big playing field outside the back of my house, since i always used to dream about having a theme park right outside my house i finally got to build one :D
