One thing you can count on for Valve: Delays. Lots of them.
I am so sick of these threads...
Posted in Episode 3 thread number 1024 :buddy:
Luke;20247472']It will come out December 31st, 2012 @ 11:59 just one second before the world is due to blow up.
It's December 21, and that isn't funny.
who dare insult Valve "a rushed game is forever bad"
If thats true then "Duke Nukem forever." will be the best damned game ever.
Any way I think EP3 will be one of the best VALVe games ever made, think about it! new engine, arctic terrain, I bet new weapons and new enemys. If it takes this long I'm sure they will add a lot of new things to make the game better then the last.
i don't think valve would be listed because theyre not publishers, i don't see any non publishing developers there on the E3 list
That wouldn't make any sense at all but looking at the list all the companies I've heard of are indeed publishers or both.
I forgot to say ignore trolls. So................... Ignore trolls. Supportive posts only. And Quad I'm almost with you, you probably got VAC2 banned and think it's their fault though, only reason people hate valve.
Since when did anyone mention above your post that they where banned?
Technically Valve hasn't delayed ep3 since they never gave us a solid release date.
Maybe they delayed just before they were going to announce a guesstimated window of release. This way they don't disappoint you with bad news.
I really wish valve would expand to help the development of individual games made by them.
It will come out December 22 2012, the day after the end of the world.
VALVe has already said they are not making a Episode 3, it's going to be Half-Life 3.
No, you are wrong. One hundred times wrong.
Here are some links that I dug up:

Make what you like of them.
I'll wait... If the longer I wait makes a better game...
They've delayed it too long. We're going to be expecting something really special and we'll be getting something not that special.
I think, by the time it's taking them, it's got to be more like a Half-Life 3 than an Episode Three, whatever they decide to call it. I mean, what would people say if it comes out next year or something and it's in the same engine and is only the length of Episode Two?
I'm hoping/expecting: 2011 release, probably not a completely new engine but improved enough to almost be one and the length of Half-Life 2, maybe slightly shorter.
The best outcome would be the difference between Half-Life 3/Episode Three and Half-Life 2 to be the same as the difference between Half-Life 2 and Half-Life (1). But I won't be expecting it.
They can't delay something that hasn't got a release date.
The only thing that they probably have delayed is the announcement OF the release date.
They probably use source with new textures, valve sucks , face it
I'm not even going to wait.
I know it's never going to come out.
I'm still hopeful for a Q4 2010 release :smithicide:

In "GameInformer" it says that Valve said there will be nothing "Half Life 2" related THIS YEAR
No Half-Life 2 Episode 3 in 2011 = :suicide:
EP3 will release the same day Black Mesa and Duke Nukem Forever release.
If Valve didn't bother to make those Left4Dead Time wasters we might have a copy of Ep. 3 on steam right now.
[editline]03:55PM[/editline]
Also has "Half-Life 3" even been announced? I thought that Ep. 3 was the end.
[editline]03:55PM[/editline]
And it's supposed to be longer than Half-Life 2! :buddy:
PSH! I bought HL5 episode 23 on EBAY!
Im so smart! :buddy:
Garry is making Valve delay Ep3.
As discussed in FaceVent.

They said ep3 was the end of the planned hl arc, not the end of the series.
They said ep3 was the end of the planned hl arc, not the end of the series.
The end of the Combine story arc, actually.
I've reached the point where I've stopped thinking about EP3, making the waiting go a hell lot faster.
Last I though of EP3 was around october 2009, and seems as if it was only yesteday.
Sounds dumb that I can remember the day I last though of a game, but that's what you get for waiting for so long.

on my birthday, yay:frogbon:
I hope it will be in same engine with no heavy changes.
I doubt we're going to be getting a trailer for Ep3 at E3. I am excited for E3 though. Should be a good year *hopefully*
