Lack of skill is not a valid reason to complain.
Hurrah, another PC vs Console "debate".
I like playing FPS games both on the 360 and on my PC. Note that I do not own a 360 myself.
Platformers, racing games, and fighting games are the genres i prefer to play on consoles. Sure, you can play racing games on a PC too using a keyboard, but you get better control on a playstation controller.
Or use a wheel for the racing games, like me.
I have no place to put the wheel. For me, if it's not Trackmania, it's played on the PS3.
You're gonna have to get used to it just like you did at mouse & keyboard. Some games have auto-aim to generally assist you or have a precise aim option ( / ironsights), which allow more precise aiming with a lower sensitivity and zoom.
Bad Company 2 nyegguh
It has aim assist, but it isn't as noticeable as it is in most games. Hint, turn it off on any CoD storymode and notice the difference.
Haha, first person shooters on consoles.
Haha, pc elitism :colbert: Seriously, let people enjoy it the way they enjoy it, but enjoy your circlejerk I suppose. Anywho, as one guy said it gets better for you the more you play it. You just get used to it.
HAHAHA GET IT fps's on consoles
Is that Perfect Dark? My God, it's been so long.
Sounds like you hate them because you suck.
It's exactly the same as the mouse.
No.
http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_xfps_360.htm Now you can use your mouse and keyboard with your Xbox 360!
My friend has one of those and I tried it. The XFPS is rubbish. You're very limited by what keys you can re-bind and it is very awkward and un responsive. That may have just been an unlucky broken one but still I wouldn't recommend it to anyone from my experience. There is a XIM360 that looks a lot nicer though I haven't tried it but I have heard it performs better off of others.
I don't have any problems aiming with an analog-stick, probably because I mostly play on my PS3. I understand why many of you PC-gamers find it hard to aim with them when playing a match of MW2 on a friend's 360 though, even I find it hard to transfer from keyboard and mouse to analog-stick. It only requires a few hours warm-up before I get used to it though. So, yeah, I can see why you bash analog-sticks. But please, don't say controllers are for faggots and every console shooter uses aim-assist, because they don't. [editline]11:02AM[/editline] It's like saying left handed people are fucking faggots because you are right handed. [editline]11:03AM[/editline] "oh my left handed people can go to hell, I can't write good with my left hand. Totally ignoring the fact that I'm right handed."
PS3 controller sticks are pretty shitty for shooters in my opinion, but I don't mind playing FPS games on the 360 so much (although obviously I'd rather play them on PC).
Here's how I see it. Games like GTA or any other third person game are best played with a controller. FPS games are best played with a mouse & keyboard. That's how I end up playing games. It's just my opinion, however.

For example, I played GTA IV on PC using a 360 controller because the shooting is auto-aimed with locking onto targets anyway. Also, there is driving and flying (which is much better played with a controller). In contrast though, I played the Max Payne games using a mouse and keyboard because they are almost exclusively shooting and there is no locking on or auto-aiming.

No offense to the 360 players here, but your control is like trying to lift weights and play at the same time. Plus it is bulked up, and personally, I think the analog sticks are much smoother on the PS3.
The console controls may be complete garbage, though you have to keep in mind that everyone has that handicap.
No it doesn't
Huh, I was positive it does. At least I thought I felt it sometimes such as aiming at a running enemy it would stick better.
I've grown up playing console fps's, so I play both! You just need to be used to it.
