Just had a really odd invasion, host was using some kind of magic or miracle that covers you in black stuff and makes attacks bounce off (like Iron Flesh) but still do damage, and doesn't slow you down. [editline]14th March 2013[/editline] Invaded dragonbro again, this time he was equipped with the wolf ring (didn't help) but this time made better use of dodges and finally baited me into a WoG after whittling me down.

If you press l2/r2 you get a buff like that at the cost of 200 durability.

First Run: I ran past the Hydra, and got slaughtered by the mushrooms at the base of the the Great Hollow. (Shouldn't have tried to fight anyway) Second run: Passsed the mushrooms, got cursed again after missing the thing by a hair (Fucking DAMMIT) Third Run: Evaded the mushrooms, killing 2. Tricked a few of the Curse lizard things into committing suicide (They jumped and fell). Saved at the top of the Hollow. Slow and steady bug slaughter through the marshes. Reached the top of BlightTown and barely survived fighting the 3 brutes before the Valley of Drakes. Quickly linked into New Londo Ruins, and then into Firelink Shrine. Found out that the FireKeeper was dead (Shit) so I continued into the Parish and saved again at the Blacksmith. That is where I currently stand. Still cursed, but I can always get healed by Oswald. I have about 4000 souls with me. TL;DR: I made it back safely. Somehow.

Started to invade the forest myself as a SL100, met a dragonbro wielding a greatsword. Killed him off in like 3 hits. :v:

Man, if the only guy I can invade is this dragonbro who knows how to counter me now, I'll probably move over to my SL50 and invade Anor Londo.

Ha, I think I just realized why I've been having a hard time fighting him. Invaded him again, was doing much better, managed to parry him. Tried to riposte, did a normal swing instead, that hit him for 0 damage. He then proceeeds to teleport behind me for a fatal BS. I check his GFWL page and he's from spain :v: Definitely moving to my SL50 in Anor Londo.

Tons of fun, not to mention dragon fists, absolutely wreck early-game bosses. I just need to get a bunch more scales to reach rank 2, so I can get the dragonbody. But I'll need a bunch of purifying stones first. Not going back there unless I do.

I always pack a claymore or better at least until I get to Anor Londo because most invaders up until then will be low leveled people with massive "Please, jump attack me into the ground" AOE miracles/pyromacies. I agree that actually looking for PVP with one is a horrible idea. I learned that the first time someone parried me to death with their bare hand.
