You might have some more luck at the Church, if you invade at the bonfire where you join up to be a Sunbro, you'll spawn ontop of the Drakes Bridge and you normally catch Newbies around there under the bridge going through the room with rats. Just be warned that some of them might have a summon who may be carrying a Elemental Weapon, so be prepared with something to deal with them if you see anyone wearing something unusual. Chances are they will have something to blaze through everything and you if you get in the way.
Before I stopped playing a month or so ago it was a lot of fun to hang out in the church at level 109 or so but wearing all low level gear Then switching to a scythe or just trying to be pro with dual scimitars upgraded and parrying all the attacks from twinks who were looking to get easy kills on poor nooblets Favorite thing to do is constantly run into the fogwall that appears when you get invaded back twoards Andre's bonfire, pretending like I don't know what is going on :v:
the worst dark souls lets play the worst [editline]22nd March 2013[/editline] heres a playlist http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC6360A0CB2A3076E
You know you're bad when you get invaded, do nothing but spam Homing Crystal Soulmass and Dark Bead, almost get killed then disconnect
Does armor really matter in PvP or PvE at all? Or should I max the upgrades on my armor before I expect to see any results? HP seems to be the only defining factor in how long I can survive when it comes to mistakes in combat..
It depends entirely on how you want to play. Armor matters less for people who adopt a dexterity based playstyle based on moving quickly in and out of battle and scoring a few critical hits here and there while focusing on blocking/countering/dodging all hits and don't play on getting hit at all. Where as the heavier armors will allow you to take 1 or 2 more hits, they're about the poise they give you allowing you to take a hit and keep moving/swinging. It's for players who are using a strength based playstyle where they plan not to move as quickly but score hits along with their opponent and come out on top. They plan to take a hit here and there but when they do they expect to brutally punish their opponent for it. So you should use the heavier armors if you are someone using a large strength weapon and plan to take a couple hits but crush your opponent.
the worst thing when invading is when you invade in dark anor londo and never find the guy you're looking for i just use the black separation crystal after a few minutes of searching
So I'm getting Dark Souls for a friend on Steam. Does he need to install something to make the game work fine? I remember I installed something for my game when I bought it Retail.
dsfix

Not sure why I stopped. Guess I could always start again?
Can't seem to invade at all in Anor Londo, SL50 network issues perhaps
I just bought this. Let's do this shit.
*ten minutes later* fuck this shit i'm out
Can't seem to invade at all in Anor Londo, SL50 network issues perhaps
I've been having the same issue in the same place.
ah fuck got a YLOD on my PS3, looks like I won't be playing Dark Souls for a long while.
Anyone on the PS3 around SL40 that has a bunch of Red Titanite Chunks they don't want? I could really use some.
http://darksouls.wikidot.com/red-titanite-chunk here are some ways to get some
Ah, I was looking at the other darksouls wiki and it only said where to farm them at. It didn't include corpses that have them.
Jesus Christ. I just keep invading this guy with Dusk Crown Ring, Dark Wood Grain Ring, 2 Great Combustions, and a Black Flame in attunement. The fights are me just trying to evade all of his 600 damage combustions, and him trying to roll into me, where he'll inevitably kill me because of me getting hit by a few of them when coming out of a roll.
I hate it when I invade people massively above my level, when all I want to do is unupgraded gear fatroll battle newer/lower level players. All I want to do is help new players gain a bit of PvP experience versus a fatty :( [editline]22nd March 2013[/editline] and drop them humanity/slightly upgraded longswords etc. I carry around like 10 +3 shortswords, a few +2/3 longswords and some clubs.
Made a Sen's invader with a +5 chaos whip and no shield Invaded a guy with mask of the child and lightning katana yeah ok i didnt wanna have fun anyway
I thought 50 was a decent level for invading in Anor Londo either that or these network issues are lasting a long while
That's twice in a fucking row I've been summoned and the host doesn't heal his phantoms. First I died from a boulder because I had slither of health left, and the host just runs off leaving me behind. And then I come across an invader in the Host's world, who constantly runs off to heal, and the host never heals me. I end up dieing from a stray swing from a black knight.
I think the newbies got to Anor Londo. Had three or four people run away, then disconnect. More sight unseen disconnects than I can count. Chased one guy from the O&S fog gate all the way to the rotating staircase- and back.
I never really fucked with those strength-y weapons before, but I'm seriously liking them a lot now, especially when I'm playing as a new character with a club.
would anyone like to buy me dark souls for pc if i paid back with an equivalent amount of games/game in a few weeks when i get money?
fuck this shit i'm out
Spent the last 5 hours restarting the game. Choose the Thief class, got the Gravelord Sword, rung the first bell (also rite of kindling on the way), and beated the game to the point where I have to go to the Depths. All in 5 hours.
did you just buy the game? if you did, close the guide right now you fuck
The only guides I used were on how to get the Rite of Kindling and the Gravelord Sword. Everything else was guide free. I lost so much souls and humanity I don't even remember.
The only guides I used were on how to get the Rite of Kindling and the Gravelord Sword. Everything else was guide free. I lost so much souls and humanity I don't even remember.
dont ever use guides
Just stay away from guides. If you want to know how to get an item, or make it past an area, ask here first.
dont ever use guides
Alright.
