You are issued that when you unlock the game. No one gets that until gabe pushes the button. Yea they can probably extract the maps and materials and shit and try to run it in HL2 or some bullshit but portal 2 has to use a branch of source which means that wont work.

I think once the timer reaches zero, everyone who got all the potatoes gets Portal 2 early, a golden chariot filled with women, and the glory of eating delicous baked potatoes as you travel to the promised land.
