The line is spoken in the novel of 2001, just not in the movie.
Also, some people thought the daisy pictures were a reference to HAL 9000 singing Daisy Bell.

Well GLaDOS and HAL9000 are similar in that they are computers and they kill people. Also one of the texture in HL2 looks like HAL. It's one of the button ones.
