Steam doesn't track if your actually doing anything in the game that's stupid and too heavy.

What are you talking about? The only thing that is increasing the counter is potato's and amount of people ingame. That's it, playing doesn't change anything.

I would be suprised if steam couldn't tell if you were idle or not...
So, since I am at my parents this weekend I thought I would be unable to help. I only have Audiosurf and AaAAaaAAAaaa from the pack, so I only have three potatoes. I only got a crappy laptop with Linux on it, which means it is hard to get Steam working. But I am working hard to get it to... work, so that I can help with Audiosurf or AaAAaaAAAaaa. One of the things I needed to install was called "mesa-utils". It's a sign :v:

Its going to start off slow, then it will speed up extortionately as people get more and more potatoes, gotta think, most people were using the wiki as their only source of info, once that comes up, more people will know how to get potatos, more potatos, much more speed.
Speaking of, does anyone have an edited version of the first audiosurf potato song, so i can get a potato in that?

What i'm trying to say is i doubt it can tell that your doing anything in the game. If it can i'm sure Alt-Tabbed and tapping away on facepunch or even playing some other game out of steam it would think your still ingame playing whatever game you launched on steam.
