Could someone give me the short version of what has happened these past 8 hours? I don't want to spend the rest of my day going through 1500+ posts. So far, all I know is if we get enough potatoes, Portal 2 will release early. Is that all that has happened so far? Also, links to sites would be great if there is any.

Defense Grid sped past Killing Floor. Man the 5 potatoes in that game is such a huge CPU multiplier.

it is speeding up, we've gotten more in the last 30 minutes then we did in the hour before.

Tbh, I kind of don't like this. The whole reason I preorder games is because I love the feeling of anticipating a game and then just watching it unlock and playing it the first minute it's released. Now with this there's no specific time for it to come out so I might not even be awake for it.

I don't think Valve would really let us fail, anyway, what's in it for them? A bunch of depressed customers.
