#PotatoFoolsDay v3 - Science rhymes with Compliance. Do you know what doesn't? Potatoes

After TWEOTW fills up, people should play Defense Grid because of the times 5 potato multiplier, or even Kick It, because its the newest game on the list and probably has the lowest sales thus easier to fill up the bar.
With it all being based on Sales/Players I'd say a bunch of people just bought the game or pack making the total time required or whatever, higher.
However, someone buying the game for the first time will play it more than someone who has had it for longer. So unless people bought the pack and won't play certain games, it's actually good for those games to get more sales. As in theory it should increase the average time people play it.
Just look at the bar on the progress page. Looks a lot more like 75% than 88%.
You can use This javascript bookmarklet to see the exact percentage.
I've only seen the bars go forward.
The Store might be keeping a record of how many times a certain game has been bought, so we need to go find that and order which games we should play based off of that.
Let's find that and stop discussing percentages then.
No.
You are right. There is only cold hard science in the end. No reason for these optimistic dreams. We must work harder..there is so much research to be done.

You'd hope so but I assume some people are doing it like they would for TF2 hats, buy game just so it comes out quicker. Which doesn't exactly help.
I dunno if this has been figured out already, but I found a easy way to the golden potato achievement in killing floor:
1. start a listen server playing KF-Apature on easy
2. Kill the whole first wave save for one clot
3. run up to the door and start un-welding it
4. when the remaining clot gets close, jump down to your left, heal the damage from the fall and run back up to the door and un-weld some more.
5. He'll follow you but at a much slower pace, when he gets close again, jump down and do it again
6. repeat till the door is open, I usually got about 1.3% off the door every go round. took me about 20 minutes
Ok guys, I've got 7 hours to kill.
What game should I play.
The Wonderul End of The World
WE NEED TO COMPLETE THE BAR!
I have the potato sack, and when i try to play BIT. TRIP BEAT, the "preparing to launch" window pops up for about 1/2 a second and goes away and the game doesnt play. I tried updating my video drivers and reinstalling. anyone have an idea?
Also: my specs are way beyond what is required.
I thought the potatoes might act as some kind of multiplier for how fast the bars go up.

You need more potatos
Here's what I've discovered browsing various forums and doing some maths myself
1. The meter is an average of the meters for each individual game
2. The number of potatoes is directly proportional to the rate of increase of the main meter
This implies the following
1. We will need 100% in each game, unless something crazy happens upon reaching 100% in TWEOTW
2. The game with the lowest rate of increase in its meter can be treated as an upper bound for the release date (as the number of potatoes and people playing that game will generally always be increasing), using Killing Floor as this, we can extrapolate a figure in the region of 61 hours as an upper bound - we will definitely get Portal 2 within 61 hours of now.
3. It is more efficient to focus on getting potatoes than it is playing specific games (every game will need to be focused, if everything stays working the same), though I encourage people to still play TWEOTW primarily so we can find out what happens at 100%.
We do not need to focus particular games... after TWEOTW reaches 100% and nothing happens. If something does happen - a new strategy will be devised.

Is this a serious reply?
You don't have enough potatoes to get a response.
(It wasn't.)

You are a beautiful man.
In a not gay way.
How does one unlock the RUSH levels, I can't seem to get them.

Well does anyone have an idea how i can fix this?
Killing Floor is gonna be so impossible with all the sales it has.
Hours released ahead of schedule: 1 day 1 hour
Wow!
I just got back from work, got myself updated on the ARG wiki and then went on to fp.
Read the pages on this thread from ~9am:
before 9am - hundreds of posts covered in anticipation ejaculate and discussing "The Final Countdown" references
after 9am - 20 or so post of "FU Valve" and shattered hopes and then... immediate cooperation in order to deal with the current situation.
I'm so proud of you.
btw, this is one of the reasons why fp>spuf
:bravo:
Holy shit, the bars gone up from 9 to 13 in an hour, I think we might be playing this tomorrow!

Was that last statement sarcasm?
Here's hoping nothing other than "(X)% OMG!" since page 60, I'm not reading that.
Also, I've been just following. Just. I could buy the potato pack...
If I had a laptop. Sigh... I've been following because I'm psyched for P2.
Good luck with your goal. (even though that goal is reviving a homicidal computer that you will most likely try to kill)
I'll be rooting from here.
Surprisingly people have most of the puzzle games of the pack up to 10 percent, i still hate Cogs though but sooner or later ill contribute to cogs too i suppose with the 3 potato multiplier.

:allears:
Just went through my entire friends list, looking for people with any of the potato pack games and telling them about the NELIPOT group. You'd be surprised at how many people are completely oblivious to what's going on.
Everyone needs to do their part to spread awareness, especially in regards to the free potato from joining the group.

nope.
good
