I swear this thread is like hot-potato. Originally I was meant to leave this thread when the leak occurred, but then I find something as useful as this. :v:

What if Valve is just wasting our time and making up numbers?
What if Valve is just wasting our time and making up numbers?
who cares, its fun.
Is that any easy way to get the potatoes in TWEOTW? I'm getting sick of this girl smiling at my face when I score a B in those levels.
There's 2361 people playing tWEotW, and we're almost at 94%.
Soon there.
94.97%
So close.

Hello.
I wanted to ask you guys something.
As for the Portal 2 countdown, will we have to fill the bar completely, or will we be able to play it at the predicted release date.
I.E., on the page it says April 19, 2011. But on other pages, because of the added "CPU Power", it is currently at April 18, 2011. Will we receive Portal 2 on the 18th if the progress bar stays the exact same as it is now?
Or do we have to 100% fill the bar to release it early?
Does anyone know the answer to this? I want to know if they actually will release it without filling the entire bar.
I can't seem to get the first potato for super meat boy. I went to level 4-19, and died more than 11 times, but the login screen wont come up! what am I doing wrong?
replying to this again because i'd really like to help/get ma potato
Kick it is next, as I posted on Wiki news it is relevant on how many people have bought the game. Logically, since Kick it just came out with the Potato Sack it has the least purchases.
At this rate there won't be an early release, now you might be saying: "Well but everything points out to x hours blah blah earlier." Yes but that time was calculated with the overall bar which makes an average of all the games. For the bar to reach 100% you need all game bars to be filled, Killing Floor required over 1 million hours of playtime globally. As soon as the games with less players that require less hours to complete start finishing you'll all see the global speed slowing down. I might be wrong but eh... do the maths yourselves.

That predicted release date is when the bar will be full if things keep going as they are now
I'm fairly sure they expected a lot more people to be playing the games than actually are/did.

Well I can help with that since I got that game, is it confirmed that you have to play to get your things counted?
A friendly reminder: (cause I have nothing else to do..)
Refreshing your game (apparently) helps with the meter, although I don't beleive it was confirmed.
The excitement us getting to me...I feel useless though..
Don't rate me clocks, this is a REMINDER.
I don't exactly think this will work though.
1 day and we only have 1 game completed, while the other games are around 10-20%
I will still help though

Do you have the steam overlay enabled?
Well I can help with that since I got that game, is it confirmed that you have to play to get your things counted?
I hope not, i just idled in a game for 5 hours or more.
I'm fairly sure they expected a lot more people to be playing the games than actually are/did.
Yeah the amount of people playing the games is really disappointing. It's like <1% of the total users on steam right now.
That predicted release date is when the bar will be full if things keep going as they are now
"Predicted Release Date" is the date that has been regularly set.
I am sorry but you are wrong.
Does anyone have a working greasemonkey script like http://horst.v40.net/steam/ this?
I'll help with the games I have, but I have a feeling that minilandstan is right.
Yeah the amount of people playing the games is really disappointing. It's like <1% of the total users on steam right now.
It's never gone above 1.1% of the users on STEAM playing. To put that into perspective, I'd say at least ~20% of people on STEAM own Portal 2, probably more than twice that.

They won't let us fail, you'll see.

The problem is that the overall bar gives the same importance to all games, while some games take more overall game time to complete. This means that if the amount of players playing this games doesn't change drastically, Killing Floor and such will never be completed.
of course it wont, total marketing scam

Don't forget that it's going to be the weekend. Multiplayer games like killing floor SKY ROCKET on the weekends.
