I'm sad that they nerfed The Best Boots.
I'm not. They're the best boots for a carry bar none, up until he reaches the point where he doesn't need the heal anymore. There was never a reason NOT to get them.
YES! My Win/Lose ratio is one again! I used to have about 15 more wins than losses, but for a long time it's been the other way around. Feels good.
Since this is a mini patch right before 6.78, how long might it take before we see it? 2 weeks at the most?
Since this is a mini patch right before 6.78, how long might it take before we see it? 2 weeks at the most?
Probably a month or two at most
Tranquils were never used regularly in competitive until recently, and then people realized just how amazing they were. Kinda like gyrocopter.
same as lifestealer and PL [editline]16th March 2013[/editline] i reckon there will be a huge update with three new heroes and a rebalance on pretty much every hero
Here's how it works: - Hero is perfectly fine but nobody plays them. - Icefrog buffs them, thinking they're bad because nobody plays them. (Nyx, Lancer) - People try them because they've been buffed, holy shit they're awesome. - Icefrog nerfs them when people cry OP. - Hero still perfectly fine, but nobody plays them anyway because "nerfed into oblivion". (Lycan) Following this, I'm guessing next heroes in the cycle of icefraud balance will probably be Razor, DK, maybe Maiden, slight chance of Skeleking, maybe.
Oh boy, this game http://dotabuff.com/matches/150210998 Was doing so well for some reason. Everything just went right. Also had an entire team laugh at one point. We cross mid, get 2 of them stuck in Chronosphere. Void pops MoM, I pop VoD and throw my ult. It's like the health bars had diarrhea.
Drow got nerfed street party near my house to celebrate
Also, easy wins for a while because some people won't know she got nerfed.

I bought the blood chaser for axe and tranquil gets nerfed hard the next day. fuck me not sure if the blood hunger speed boost will outdo it since call means they're broken in instant or i'll have to buy other boots. maybe i'm just over exaggerating the movement nerf What is a good non-radiance item build for Weaver?
I bought the blood chaser for axe and tranquil gets nerfed hard the next day. fuck me not sure if the blood hunger speed boost will outdo it since call means they're broken in instant or i'll have to buy other boots. maybe i'm just over exaggerating the movement nerf What is a good non-radiance item build for Weaver?
Two Wraithbands or an Aquilla and Slippers to help with farming, into a Linkens, into Crits or Butterfly.
What is a good non-radiance item build for Weaver?
Linken's, Chrystalys and MKB are all solid options. Chrystalys on Weaver fucking HURTS with that Gemini attack.
What's a good build for Disruptor btw? Last game I want Mana boots > Mek > Drums > Force Staff > VoD but that was more improvisation after some point.
Linken's, Chrystalys and MKB are all solid options. Chrystalys on Weaver fucking HURTS with that Gemini attack.
but crits doesnt work on the second attack, right?
2.5 at level 1 stun is fucking OP as shit f
its at melee range [editline]16th March 2013[/editline]
Linken's, Chrystalys and MKB are all solid options.
its at melee range
And at level one, he doesn't have much of a followup. His stun early game is basically the followup stun. It's decently hard to land unless the enemy messes up.
What is a good non-radiance item build for Weaver?
Phase Aquila Linkens MKB Butterfly
Phase Aquila Linkens MKB Butterfly
Don't forget the rapier.
I kinda think DK is alright. He doesn't have the raw autoattack damage of some other carries but he's far tankier and has a good nuke and stun.
any info about the new hero?
And at level one, he doesn't have much of a followup. His stun early game is basically the followup stun. It's decently hard to land unless the enemy messes up.
Since he's got carry potential I think it's ok if his early is a bit weak, right?
He's more a durable carry than a dps carry, as most strength heroes are building crit on him (unless you go cuirass) is a really silly idea, its best to stack strength with him [editline]16th March 2013[/editline] i'd call him a semi carry
I bought the blood chaser for axe and tranquil gets nerfed hard the next day. fuck me not sure if the blood hunger speed boost will outdo it since call means they're broken in instant or i'll have to buy other boots. maybe i'm just over exaggerating the movement nerf What is a good non-radiance item build for Weaver?
tranquils are still good its gonna be slower than any other boots, but its still around 30~ movement speed iirc Battlehunger gives 9 per 100 movement speed(i think so, right?) so it wont be too bad If it really upsets you, just go phaseboots and some other type of hp regen
Well there aren't any changes I don't agree with. Ofc I'd like to see a bigger buff to Treant than that, but hey it's something.
5,2 strength growth on Treant please.
Hah I bet if that happened all of the "4.2 agi on PL isn't that big a buff" fellas would cry foul.
I feel like Treant exists to be the strongest strength hero in terms of survivability since he has nothing else. He deserves it.
change Glaives of Wisdom to steal +1 int growth per level per kill instead get six kills and now you're playing with power
Refresher on Tusk. Nobody survives.
Heaven’s Halberd's Disarm is no longer dispelled by Manta praise icegod also I knew tranquil boots would be nerfed for carries and I was afraid my favorite support boots would take a hit but once again he made them more support suited like drum and force staff. very good way of dealing with it. [editline]16th March 2013[/editline] also isn't drow like completely shit in teamfights now, she's going to have no agility because she has shit actual gain this is why I always complain about her design and how she needs a complete remake
Lancer in some way was nerfed in this update. Not directly but through other changes. By nerfing tranquil boots the way they did they made it easier to harass him and gank him. Also by nerfing KOTL this makes the dreaded KOTL PL lane combo a bit easier to deal with. I still think PL's agility gain is a bit absurd and he might need some slight tweaks here and there though.
KotL only got a nerf to one of his level 6 abilities, so no, it will not help your laning experience against them. They are literally the same in lane after this update.
Well there aren't any changes I don't agree with. Ofc I'd like to see a bigger buff to Treant than that, but hey it's something.
It's said that this carried over a little bit of 6.78, so maybe that's just one of Treant's buffs coming out next update (hopefully).
Here's how it works: - Hero is perfectly fine but nobody plays them. - Icefrog buffs them, thinking they're bad because nobody plays them. Also, Dragon Knight and Crystal Maiden are just fucking fine and Dragon Knight is picked up a lot in the competitive scene already. No need to fix what ain't broke.
