Earlier today I gunned down a guy in a premium La-5 in my Typhoon in HB. He then said something someone would say in a competitive shooter, and that was "3v1? No skill" or something along those lines. I then said that he shouldn't have engaged with all of us nearby with no allies around. He then offered to 1v1.

This game is starting to piss me off. I'm level 7 American and I'm constantly losing money because I choose not to go easy mode with the mouse and do more ground attack than dog fighting.

Get a corsair and learn the way of the combat flaps. Then you'll be gunning most things down. They're cheap to run and tough.

So apparently overtaking someone in my La-5 at the start of the round due to its faster speed than a yak-9 warrants its being teamkilled because it "pissed me off"

Maybe a objective battle where there's a formation of Bettys that need protecting in order to deliver Ohkas to the enemy fleet.

there was one with 12 IIRC. May have only been experimental though, not sure if it was ever fielded.

I've just got the spitfire, i love it. It's nicely Agile, It's the fastest plane i have, the armament is decent. First Game i Got- 3 kills, a bunch of uncredited kills and a nice amount of assists in it.
But every time i die, i'm not damaged. My plane falls completely unscratched to the ground. I think they killed my pilot... It still feels like bullshit.
Fully intact plain and a tail gunner in a now-burning plane luckily caps my pilot with a single bullet.

That would be the B-25H. The Js were either glass or solid nosed, and only the solid nosed ones had gun batteries in the nose.

You'll find that you'll be losing your engine quite a lot and that most russian planes you get engage with will fight you back.
I love downing premium planes in HB. I murdered yet another La-5 with my Typhoon (Not the premium one). I was about to get the other one, but a Bf-109 and I collided.
Why is the He 112 such a slow piece of shit. why. I want to love it, and the cannons it comes with, but it is just so slow, and refuses to turn.

It gets a lot better once you get a Bf 109, but the time you have to spend in those horrible things made me give up on Germany
Also, that feeling when you nail every shot of a long burst, only to see that some teammate in a Yak got the kill with one random shot

If you decide to go Germany again, the Bf-109 is worth it. Just don't turn with it, use its excellent climb rate, and use high energy maneuvers.

Just started booming and zooming in my BF-109F/Trop, and its fantastic, I'm regularly making it through most of the match alive, although I'm not getting many kills (mostly assists) but when I do get hit, my wings shear off almost every time.
After having been following this thread and the previous one for long enough, I feel like it's a mistake, but I'm loving the American tree right now at rank 7
Finally, king Cobras and the thunderbolts are cheaper.

Are they trying to promote HB with lower repair costs for less used planes? Most planes cost less in HB (some of them slightly more in FRB) than in Arcade mode. Although, the more popular planes in HB and FRB have become much costlier to repair than in Arcade.
For instance, the H6K4 costs 8370 to repair in Arcade, but 150 in HB and 260 in FRB (which is a really nice drop in price, actually). But, the Corsair (1C variant) has jumped to 56,840 in HB and 61,340 in FRB, but 9,340 in Arcade.
