I thought this may be the case. Whenever it was happening I was getting instakilled and there was no visible damage to the plane. So you're probably right. I'll keep that in mind when I'm next getting shot at. I didn't know it reacted that realistically in arcade mode.
I noticed a few things in the last patch looking at decals.
Whilst red star kill marks are still unlocked from killing planes in Russian fighters. German crosses seem to say that they be unlocked by Brits, USA,Russia
More interestingly, Jap killing decals have mentions of Australia.
As much as I want to like the Zero, I find the plane mediocre at best. The cannons feel very ineffective and the handling at higher speeds is pretty bad.
Turns out the mosquito's airspeed doesn't display above 1000km/h. Climbed to 10000m and dived.

Some guy was trying to do this earlier in a game I played. By the time he got to about 9000m the game was nearly over, so he pleaded with the players to leave the last few troops alone until he got chance to do his dive. Someone obviously felt like being a bastard and bombed the remaining troops. I kinda felt sorry for him.

Well that seems to happen to me in literally every plane I have so I have no idea how you think its only russian planes that can survive shit like that. I've rammed mountains with the BF-109 E-3 and bounced off and rammed straight through the center of Yaks with the P-39 and lived while they die so um.

I'm pretty sure they/we say that because of the sheer amount of Russians that play this game that just want to play as their home country, leading to a shitload of Russian planes buzzing around annoying people.

Go play a Yak-9T and watch your K/D score higher then ever. Maybe if they fixed its energy loss and giving it actual recoil it would be a fair plane, because you know...russian pilots wouldn't fire that more then three times in a row due to the recoil that gun created.
Playing the Yak-9T and firing more than 2 shots in a row is pretty much impossible. But this isn't a simulator, and I've also never tried it, so I've yet to really judge the Russian planes besides acknowledge that they're annoying. I played the Yak-3 and Yak-7 and they weren't much to write home about, but were solid aircraft.

Take Port, make 90% of the units naval units or pillboxes, and spawn the entire enemy team directly over all of their important naval units. You now have Fjords.

Quit and restart. Had to do it for 2 patches thus far after completing 90% of them. A++ patcher.

My launcher is so bugged it has to go trough a really fucking long phase before starting to download again after i close it, i just launch the game trough aces when it's patched up so i don't have to go trough that..
Why russians, why you do this
So I got the JU-87 with the two underwing 37mm cannons, and all I can say is that it is fantastic. Incredibly slow, but incredibly satisfying when I hit something and it comes apart. Only 12 shots before I have to reload, though.
So at this point, I'm pretty sure the hit model or something is broken for the LAGG-3. I got rammed once by one in my Spitfire, then rammed by the same fucker in the same match, while he was still in the same plane, in my Hurricane.
I don't understand War thunder so some questions : Is the next plane a higher level better than the previous levels? Are there any "health bar" systems? any tips to be successful in dog fights? How does one earn experience the fastest way? Do you get more money for winning than for losing?

Sometimes they're better. Sometimes you just should buy them only to get the next plane. Sometimes things are just different. Higher level stuff doesn't mean that something is better in every way. I mean the spitfire flies a lot better than the hurricane II , but the hurricane II has thrice the firepower.
Don't have a single plane that's a much higher levels than the others. An example of this would be the Ju- series of planes. There isn't anything good in the german tree below level 4 other than the reserves, so stick with the reserves till then. Picking the Ju and the reserves put me against hurricanes and spitfires rather than other 0-1 planes
There's a little icon that shows where each part of your plane is damaged
Turn auto repair off. Altitude is your friend.
Also, i'm having to cope with a crippled graphics card and i'm running this on 12 fps on minimun configs...
Is there any way to remove all the detail from the ground extructures, such as trees?
I'd like to see only the targets on the ground and nothing else

If you play in arcade, play in HB. If you play in HB and that still happens, try to soldier through to level up to get higher tier planes. If it still happens, try FRB.

Play on the EU or NA server. RU server makes me want to cry...they'll either be very bad but you'll find an ace among them. The skill difference between a good russian player and a bad one is rather big.

Nothing more infuriating than having that happen after a me-262 shoots the aileron controls on my p-39 in a FRB.
I ought save up for a joystick sometime. Trying to play FrB with mouse and keyboard is a nightmare.

I never actually played the US server and assumed it was like the EU, well... I know what server I'll play now.
