The whole soundsystem in BF3 is awesome but so hard to actually notice since all the little details are so natural you don't seem to notice them. Next time you play just pay attention to the the bullet whizzes, expolsions and ambient noices.

Like the M1911, it's not like I heard one myself but I imagine it'd sound a whole lot more badass :v: Most of the vehicles in BF3 have quite okay engine sounds (well, you can't exactly fuck up the M1's turbine, it's just a long high pitched whine) but the gun sounds were pretty terrible. Especially on the LAV-25, the 25mm sounds like an air powered plunger on crack. If I'm driving a T-90, I expect every god damn soldier on the map to shit their pants at the sound of my glorious [DEL]ex-Soviet[/DEL] Diesel engine.

Alpha sounds were a lot more realistic and you always knew where the noises comes from.
