Sounds like another Back 2 Karkand type deal, and is included with both editions of the game.
holy shit so many particles
It was obvious that there will be Premium in BF4 since so many people bought it for BF3...
Damn right they did, it generated over $100 million in sales at the end of last year. Is it on the website?
No point in judging the game. You're still gonna buy it.
Where'd you get that? Is it on the website?
Yep, just looked at the pre-order part of the page. http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield-4
Didn't preordering Warfighter also grant Battlefield 4 Beta access?
No point in judging the game. You're still gonna buy it.
There's plenty reason to judge it, whether we buy it or not.
What's wrong with suppression? Its a rare, but useful fps factor that, if anything, should be amped up in battlefield as it is.
Rewarding people for missing is not a good FPS mechanic, especially in a game that's supposed to penalize spraying. EDIT: I'm worried by the fact that the first gameplay reveal is console footage.
No point in judging the game. You're still gonna buy it.
If I buy it, surely not retail or from Origin. Ain't paying 70 bucks for this.

I can't tell if it is or not, I mean all the interactions are done using keyboard keys, but the little social UI in the top right throws me completely off. Is that the Xbox 360 controller's back button? Is this on the PC or 360? Some sort of hybrid bullshit? what the fuck is going on here i don't even know Even the way they move and look around looks like it's being played with a controller.

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like they mixed and matched footage.
I wouldnt be surprised if its PS4 footage. Does EA still have that contract with Sony concerning BF stuff? It looked to good to be current gen, and the PS4 IS coming out in fall. BF4 might be a launch title.
Probably a dev playing with a controller on PC for some bullshit reason. He also sucks at playing it seems.

EDIT: I'm worried by the fact that the first gameplay reveal is console footage.
it's not rewarding for missing, it's penalizing for being fired upon, so you wouldn't be able to just casually sight in and snipe a dude despite bullets whizzing about you
Probably a dev playing with a controller on PC for some bullshit reason. He also sucks at playing it seems.
what dev doesnt?
Is it me, or did that soldier that stops you at the door look and sound like Andy Lawrence?
?
I don't get this there's the "E to do shit" prompts, but he's more than obviously playing on a controller (look at how he moves)
it's not rewarding for missing, it's penalizing for being fired upon, so you wouldn't be able to just casually sight in and snipe a dude despite bullets whizzing about you
It's both of these. It penalizes you for getting shot at, but it also rewards you for missing. I don't think it's a necessary mechanic either, if you're unable to not get killed by someone who's pinned down and hiding behind cover where they can't see you you are bad at games.
I don't get this there's the "E to do shit" prompts, but he's more than obviously playing on a controller (look at how he moves)
A friend once told me that they do that stuff because of PR stuff, so console players can't claim that the game is not how it has been shown etc. And since most of the sales go to consoles it makes kinda sense to me. Not too sure about that though.
So is the black soldier modeled after and voiced by the guy who played Omar from the Wire? He looks very similar.
those are some stunning visuals
Just got premium. I haven't played in awhile, any advice on how to set my battlelog filters to see the most servers/players?

Both peope not killing each other means they were both inept in their fight and need try again in a smarter way. Battlefield, like most fps games depicting a realistic environment (not simulating I know, but it sure as shit is depicting it) are awful with playing out gun fights as people are extremely selfless. You would be stupid to not give covering fire to keep the enemy suppressed, and as the enemy, you would be stupid not to get to cover while being fired upon. Fps today are retarded with this run and gun Rambo bullshit that even gives them the option for being stupidly risky rather than having common sense.

SP footage -> Nothing to get excited about. Building up hype by showing all this cool destruction and massive scale which is going to be dumped down massively in MP. Probably another good game that not really that much of a Battlefield game.

I don't know how else to explain it. Obviously bad players won't hit close if they really do suck, so it shouldn't really be a problem correct? But then again, I've only had suppression problems at 20-80m engagements where people aiming with high power scopes can aim unpenalized while my vision is getting torn to fuck by sniper suppression multipliers. At longer distances, I figure everyone is pretty fair game with aiming and normally are given somewhat of chance to shit their pants and be forced to high tail it to somewhere safe rather than have a heroic duel at high noon.
Cool, that was the Frostbite 3 Engine.
According to information released by EA, Battlefield 4 will see a variety of multiplayer game design elements incorporated into the single-player campaign. In single-player, gamers are promised huge environments, access to a variety of vehicles and the ability to direct squad mates. The single-player mode will also now track players’ progress, adding a layer of social competition to the game’s campaign. Everything must be social. Everything.
They killed Hawkens...in a trailer.............wtf Besides that, I like the improved sounds, visuals are nice as always, particles look good, not worth another 100+ dollars though.
