so far with my heavy crews, i have BIA on everyone as the first skill, then for the second one off-road driving/snap shot for the driver/gunner, and repairs on everyone else (intending to drop and switch for safe stowage/sixth sense when the commander/loader are 100%) good plan?
I meant to agree with you, but I miss clicked. The hidden shitty accuracy on the gun it shares with the t29 is incredible. The m103 gun is a dream comparatively.
Man what, am I the only one who seriously loved the T32 gun? Back when I played it I had the most stupid luck with it, all KV-2-152 style. I'd do shit like hit the IS-7's cupolas frontally on the move with a half bloomed reticule all the time.
Holy shit. I think my JgPz IV is cursed. My team loses badly everytime I use it.
This game, it brings me back in. time to resume my M46 grind
this Unless you somehow enjoy driving a not really fast brick of C4 that catches on fire every time a Frenchman with a baguette under his arm looks at it, the Panther will most likely not be a great experience for you. The Tiger I is a really nice tank with the L/71, and although the Tiger II isn't my thing you might want to go down that line.
The Panther has 5 primary issues: oversized modules (the fuel and ammo are obnoxiously large), shit armor (with surprise frontal gearbox that can catch fire!), surprisingly poor acceleration and handling (Panther II however is great in these aspects), terrible turret traverse, and low damage. The Panther fires about every 4 seconds, but the damage is so low that you have to have 4 shots pen before your DPS starts beating the other mediums, and that is more difficult than it sounds because the Panther is not a flanker or brawler, but a straight up sniper. For me it wasn't a particularly painful grind or anything, it just underperformed for its tier. You have to get creative with it. Oh and don't bother going for modules, it never breaks them. I'd still take the Panther grind over the AMX 13 75, which is undergunned and no where near manueverable enough for what it does.
Holy shit. I think my JgPz IV is cursed. I didn't come to the thread for few days and it's suddenly GuP discussion thread? You guys make me really tempted to watch it. I still feel my cerebrum still didn't recover from watching the whole series of Ika Musume, tho.
Victory! Battle: Himmelsdorf Wednesday, March 20, 2013 2:51:24 AM Vehicle: T29 Experience received: 1,752 Credits received: 43,665 Battle Achievements: Steel Wall
First few games back in the T29. On Himmelsdorf, 7 enemy tanks vs 4 tanks on the Castle Hill. Gun gets damaged, gets pounded the fuck out by SPG and starts taking abuse from KV-1S. Only tank remaining on the hill and I managed to hold out against 5 other enemy tanks because they have no fucking clue how to engage a hull-downed T29. I have like 4% HP left when I had to square off against two KV-1S's. Killed one and the other ran to the other street down hill.
I'm close to getting a BDR G1B and planning on stopping there, but should I move up to the ARL 44 and keep both tanks?
I still feel my cerebrum still didn't recover from watching the whole series of Ika Musume, tho.
Funny you mention that. He was the director on that show as well.
I'm close to getting a BDR G1B and planning on stopping there, but should I move up to the ARL 44 and keep both tanks?
I'm not sure why you would want to keep the BDR. Sell it once you've unlocked the ARL 44 and have enough money for it; the ARL is a very solid tank once fully upgraded, especially in tier 8 matches where it can still penetrate a lot of tanks from most angles. After that, keep going up the French tree. Learning to play with the autoloaders can be extremely rewarding... hell, so far the AMX 50 120 is the best stock tank I've ever played.

It was like the shells were actively avoiding it.

It only became shit tier on the T34, I guess it's the same with the M103 but at least there's a 120mm after 24k XP now, instead of the 100k+ we had to grind to get the actual gun. You youngsters know nothing about the horrible grind, you never faced IS-4s with 10 degrees of gun depression, 3x as much armor as you and a 130mm gun that rolls for 600 damage every 8 seconds.
Remember the players who decided not to research the 105mm on the T32, and then had to struggle with the 90mm on the T34?
These guys, the T34 was the worst T9 heavy overall and only decent with the 120 but as soon as I saw my team's top tier was a T34 with the 90mm and the second turret ("the 105 is too expensive!") I gave up all hopes of winning and rammed the enemy's 300 IS-4s until I died.
Actually it's just a shit tank. If you get anything above a tier 6 game GG
Funny, my average win rate in it is about 59%. I...enjoyed it.
I still get flashbacks of the terrible matchmaking that put 6+ IS-4s on one team and 2 T34s and a bunch of IS-3s on the other. You can't really say the game isn't getting better when you look at this shit. Did I mention I fucking hate IS-4s?

Just noticed there is a FP clan on eu. Why did we name the clan FPEU and not FP? Was it already taken or did we do that to make things less confusing here?

New server #2 is located in Holland, the original one is in Germany.
- Storm on Improved ventilation: Ventilation gives bonus to all skills, to which a bonus can be given. Eg. the bonus should be disoplayed everywhere. There is one catch: the bonus from ventilation is given also to the commander and he - in turn - gives his increased commander bonus to the other members of the crew. So, the total bonus is recieved - 5 percent for the commander and more than 5 percent for the rest of the crew - the only way how to win when the enemy captured your base (base captured! text displayed) is within the 5 seconds from the capture to destroy the entire enemy team - the difference in damage between the Soviet and Chinese Zis-4 gun is given by the "gun specifics" - the 5 second timer between the base capture and the end of the battle is resetted by the destruction of any vehicle - friendly or enemy - T-90 (as a T-80 variant) AA tank will not be introduced in forseeable future, the top gun of the T-60 is not the 14,5mm MG. - the ammo rack hitbox is not separated into shells and casings, nor is it planned - so far, the devs haven't found proper additional skill ideas for the loader [b]- IS-2 with M62-T2 planned as a tier 8 premium? That would sorta be one of the strongest armors in the game :v: [editline]20th March 2013[/editline] It would be 450 effective, not even considering the fact it's layered armor. Dayum.
[editline]20th March 2013[/editline] Another picture of the Object 795
Is.... is that 100mm of armor at near autobouce angle I'm seeing there? On a light tank? muh 132 :(
Oh, it's not 182mm of pure steel, tho, it's composite, so the 100mm is fibreglass or something like that, it would be effectively less. Still damn phat. Tier 10 light pls.
IS-2 with M52-T2 planned as a tier 8 premium
Any proof for that? It's not impossible, but I somehow doubt they'd mount a new gun like that on a tank that was outphased years ago while they're drowning in new Objects to throw it on along with a whole bunch of T-10s coming off the assembly line. I will use this opportunity to point out that since Valve spoiled me with surprisingly good Source port on Linux, and native Unity3d being not all that good but still usable on Linux, I would hope for native Linux client by WG. Sadly, technical development never was their strongest side, and if somebody asked Serb, he would either ask what's Linux, or come with some very peppery way to insult all users of Linux. Furthermore, there's not even a Mac version either, so eh, fat chance.
How well does tankies run under WINE anyway?
