tried out just4fun's maus, broke his exp record and got ace in my second battle.
the maus is bad, it gets spammed to death by goldnoobs and artyfags in the vast majority of battles
nothing quite like getting penned frontally while angled by a gold spamming shitlord whose gun should only have ~200mm of penetration, because they lack the skill to flank

I Think the problem is the Maus is Built to be an overpowered Nazi wunderwaffen and not an actual tank.
it cannot play by the same rules as it's counterparts, it's ether overpowered or it's not, there is no balance with that vehicle.

If you're in a good tank, tier 9 is the best tier. A lot of the time I wound up being the top 3 or 4 tanks on my team (which means lots of tasty tier 8s and 7s to stomp), and you don't have to put up with the absolute shitlord retarded tier 10 players a lot of the time.
tier 6 has the best gameplay and funnest tanks, also best matchmaking as most matches are tier 6/7 and you can penetrate everything
tanks there don't use as much gold ammo as in the top tiers, and tier 6 includes gems like the kv-2, hellcat, jumbo, e8 etc etc.
if you want fun, get a good tier 6.

Yeah gold rounds for credits have really ruined Tier 3-5 matches because of the damn 105mm Sherman and Panzer IVs.

From what I recall, spall liner is pointless in every tank because the small amount of damage it deflects is not enough to make up for what is lost by not having something else in its place.
Also, should I rebuy the VK3002DB, the S-51, or should I just wait a little and buy the T-34/85?

get the DB and start the grind for the leopard, and hope to god WG don't fuck it up
or play it safe and get the t-34, and grind for the t-54/62a which are both great

I'd say that it has helped me out in my KV-1, if only because it's usually stuck with it's tread broken while low-level artillery consistently fails to hit anywhere near me. So I can tank some rather idiotic amounts of damage that way.
What tier will the leopard 1 be?
This tank is delicious. The top 85mm gun seems to perform better than the 100mm.
