I'm not defending artillery, but that's a horrible spot with no artillery cover and there is no reason to go there, especially since there is some actual artillery cover about 2 grids away that is still in a usable position (the massive overpass).
I just had a match where a friendly AMX 40 decided to keep my TOG II* permatracked while I was heading to help a KV-1S getting its ass handed to it. I was just behind the hill waiting, hoping he'll lose interest and let me save the poor guy. But no. He kept at it until the 1S was promptly destroyed and I was nearly blown up by an ARL 44 and an M8A1 working together, but the match ended as the enemy lightning capped our base.
Post stats. I will grill you.

Since we're talking of stats, eyeing my stats on Noobmeter, I think my high time was when I was grinding for the VK2801 with a steady increase in all the ratings. My Leopard win rate is 59%. After starting to focus on the tier 5(and six) scouts, my overall win rate quickly dropped from 52% to 51%.

It is weird, in the past 1000 battles I have had a W7 of 1,500, but overall I have around 800. Probably because of mindless grinding early on.
