Im wary of corps that have incentives to join for some reason. I would rather join a corp made up of people who actually wanted to join the corp for its good reputation or something, not because they get free goodies for doing so.
Of course "We have a reputation for not being total assholes!" doesn't sound as good as "LOLOL JOIN & GET FREE T2 FITTED DRAKE LOLOLLO"

Why the hell isnt there ever anyone in lowsec? Ive been looking for a good place to do some PvP, and all the systems I find have like 8 people in them, all docked at a station.

Go to Amarr Lowsec. Every single system has 12+ Goon evacuees.
I have recently figured out something.
Highsec is probably the safest place in eve. profound statement, I know. However new players get the conception that it goes highsec > lowsec > Nullsec. I've recently discovered, and confirmed what people have told me, that if you know the locals in a lowsec reigon, and you know the locals in a 0.0 system, you're better off in the 0.0 system.
Lowsec is run by pirates who don't care what they shoot at, null is run by big alliances who are...mostly...careful with who they shoot at. thus why all the NRDS rules exist and whatnot.
Anyone agree?
