Depends on what you do.
If you go industrial you can watch rocks floating around in space for free in maybe a half a year at soonest.
If you go pirate you'll need to pay out of pocket unless you really hit it big.
You need about 500mil to pay for 2 months.
A few friends I know pay for 3 accounts each, mining ice for a week.

I remember I quit right when I was about to get a cruiser, the skill training should be done however and I have more then enough Isk for an Osprey with full armament.

You use tech 1 drones for defense. Never lose out on mining yield because you unnecessarily fit a turret for shooting stuff.
Alright, I finally got around to making a character. Pretty cool game so far; but I need advice.
I'm not too sure what path I'm going to take (Open for suggestions). I've been doing combat missions for a while, and I feel I need to upgrade my ship.
Currently I'm tugging along with an Imicus, and I'm not too sure where to go from there.
for combat I'd recommend either an incursus or a tristan.
Incursus=Space motorcycle=win.

I have some advice for you, dorp those level 1 pussy missons and come with me on some level 4's I could use help killing the smaller ships. You get what ever loot you want and a cut of the misson pay.

A good scamming way is to make drama yourself in the corp, lie about others etc.
Drama is that not you are the whiny bastard but make someone else one or cause corp wide drama, weakening the corp, then prove how valuable you can be and get access to wallet, hangars etc.
I'm going to include a little guide on several different methods of infiltration, including that one.
Basically: Get a friend to infiltrate the target corporation with you, but maintain the guise that you do not know each other. Have the friend make some innocent little "I'm conning corp X" post or something on the EVE forums, or on some his main character's corp site. Go to the CEO and rat out your friend to him. Suddenly all eyes are on your friend and you've become a valuable asset to the corporation. He acts the patsy and they think you're helping keep them secure.
