Basically: Get a friend to infiltrate the target corporation with you
I always thought the first rule of corporate thievery was trust NO ONE. I wouldn't do this unless I knew the person IRL. Furthermore, smart CEOs (or anyone in power for that matter) dont trust rats. Then again, there are a lot of not-so-smart CEOs out there. You may be onto something.
The Drake seems terrifying D:
What, why? [editline]04:20PM[/editline] Ok, no matter what you think about GoonSwarm or SOLODRAKBAN or whatever, this is fucking hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMMlwB0kltQ

[editline]04:21PM[/editline] And I've been a member of a dummy corp I use for scamming called "Completely Legitimate Establishment," and there has yet to be anyone who so much as gave it a second thought. You can get away with a lot more than you realize. It's all about how well you sell it. You need the patsy to plant evidence against himself. It also helps to later defend the patsy in some form. If you're worried your CEO might catch on if you rat him out directly, simply play some small part in the persecution. The point is to prove you are leadership material to the CEO, and to make you stand out.
oh shit, I missed one letter in the name of a character who's name is never spelled, and based on pronunciation, could have several spellings. I apologize for being such an idiot, I should be killed for being so stupid.
I never meant about your spelling, i should've said something about disbelief (when he can't believe he is dwayne dibbley
Lankist, i have a question, how long does a mediocre con take? I'd guess 1-2 months

Although getting high enough in the ranks to get access to the stuff is the easy part, getting out is the fun part. This stuff is actually really fun to think about. Almost makes we wish I could bring myself to screw someone over really hard. [editline]09:40PM[/editline]
Lankist, i have a question, how long does a mediocre con take? I'd guess 1-2 months
Like Lankist said, it all depends on how you sell it. A false investment scam could get you lots of cash fairly quickly actually, but you have to be good at making it NOT sound like a scam. Which most people in Eve aren't.
Lankist, i have a question, how long does a mediocre con take? I'd guess 1-2 months
Depends entirely on the scam. If it's a market or loan scam you could pull a decent haul in a week's time. If you're infiltrating a corporation it can take upwards of a year. The bigger the haul the longer it will take. And it's not always about money. Most corporate sabotage is about taking a competitor off the map. See: BoB. Which most people in Eve aren't.
To be honest the easiest people to scam are other scammers. They always think they have the upper hand and pay too much attention trying to make themselves seem legitimate to check if you're legitimate. [editline]04:48PM[/editline] But yeah the quickest scams are market scams. Getting someone to think you're going to manufacture shit for them if they give you the blueprints, shit like that. But now with certifications, lying about your capabilities is becoming considerably more difficult because people want to see if you actually have the skills.
Is that smack talk or, clever insults? Both?
He was trying to make fun of me without me realizing I think, but it was pretty obvious. It went on for a while longer, I just posted the first little bit of it. [editline]05:47PM[/editline] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bkzv-3vJn4w
My vote is on this one.
same.
Me and a friend recently took like 250million worth of stuff from some dumb corp. We both have only really just started playing and got into this corp. The corp joined an alliance - the alliance had only recently formed and the leader was busy doing real life stuff. He finished and lay down some real rules - 50 million/month per corp for ship replacement and other funds. Corp leader chucks a shitfit and leaves allaince, so me and my friend steal all the glacial ice he had been mining (around 3000 pieces) - My friend had access to the hangars because corp leader was an idiot and gave access to him even though he didnt do much at all - and we left a single Exotic Dancer in the emptied hangar. Refined it, moved it out of a station with an office, waited the stasis period then sold it. Made around 250 million ISK - probably less than what it's worth but we wanted to get rid of it fast.
