MK9 looks promising, we can only hope it's as good as it looks

Slightly offtopic, but as I never really got into this series, how would you compare Mortal Combat to Tekken?

Well I don't know what you do, but no one I played online could seem to figure it out.
As many have said before me, you forgot Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (Minus the fact that Sheeva is only in regular 3)
It was the best.
4 for me, followed by trilogy. Really did not like the most recent 3.
I love Armageddon because it has ALL the characters
but it has no fatalities
The Genesis games had the best mechanics. The later ones feel sluggish and unresponsive.
Really I think Trilogy was the best (the one that had all characters from 1-3) but Armageddon probably would have dethroned it if not for shitty endings and lack of fatalities.

Mortal Kombat: Brute forcing your way to your opponents demise.
Tekken: Fancy Combo-ing requiring specific button presses your opponent into infinity.
I've always liked Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks.
Me and my friend played it for hours when we were younger.
I remember playing number 3 the most
Mortal Kombat 3 is best voted for that
Mortal Kombat shaolin monks was just awesome. I played it for hours with one of my friends.
Deadly Alliance was and is awesome.
