I'm going to replay the series again and after having played Rising, I'm not looking forward to Raiden in the earlier games. I hope going forward, if he remains within the core MGS games, that they keep him in some way the badass he is now.

Only way I could see them doing another game with him pre-cyborg is if it takes place between games 2 and 4. I think that'd be interesting, seeing how it happened and stuff. But the next game will be Ground Zeroes, which could be really cool.

Raiden isn't so bad in MGS 2, he's a rookie and a little silly. The main problem is Rose. Raiden is pretty cool (though a little depressing) in MGS4

I don't hate EA, I guess I didn't make the sarcasm clear enough when I wrote "what the fuck EA".
I play BF3 from time to time and I don't care for expansions or the company that made the game. I thought it seemed really really wierd and uneducated that someone would put a t-rex head lying on the sand like that in modern time. Those screenshots are literally the only ones I've seen from that expansion, and I haven't taken notice to a single easter egg in vanilla BF3.
But it was Dice who put it there to begin with, not EA.

Was it done with VirtualDub? I have the exact same problem where every .gif made in VirtualDub gets slowed down, it's annoying.

Try to covert the fps to 30. that usually does it for my slow-mo gifs

IIRC If you use the "process by every other frame" you'll have to up the framerate in the option above otherwise it'll seem slow when you export it.
