It's quite good. I haven't played Demon's Souls so I don't know how it compares. As for skyrim, I wouldn't say they compare aside from being open world, but DD isn't anywhere near as open as skyrim. There's gonna be a bundle of the original game and the expansion coming out in April for $40 so you should wait to pick it up then.

Fuckin finally! Found a proper music fix so now the intro works, and the game won't crash because the music cues are no longer messed up. I wonder why microsoft dropped support for DirectMusic in the first place, it seems to work pretty well for dynamic music in this game now that it actually works.
