Are you seriously blaming the player for the game being hard? This is disgustingly arrogant.
Yes, I blame him for being a casual pussy, who can't play a slightly-hard-on-the-beginning game for more than half a hour.
It's not fun. It's dated. Was it great when it came out? Sure. But it's not fun anymore. The difficulty isn't fun, and there's not anything else that hasn't done better in oblivion or skyrim... so people of course are gonna play those.
You =/= everyone, who played Morrowind There is a lot of people who like Morrowind as it is.
The thing is that in Morrowind YOU swing the sword, you decide what kinda swing you'll do and where will you aim it. In games like DA:O you just click an enemy and the autoattack does the rest. It's not nearly as immersive and you don't feel like it's YOU swinging the sword, it's the character swinging it.
Yeah that's what I mentioned on my second paragraph and I completely understand that visual stimuli is important on a first person perspective, and I completely understand why people find it a huge turnoff (I mean yeah seriously no one wants to see something that clearly collided in their view to a big chunk of meat and later get a text saying oh sorry you actually didn't hit it) but it's not the mechanics nor the sword swinging the problem, it's just the visual feedback. If you take out the fact you're controlling your character in a first person perspective and swinging something, it's really just the same as clicking your enemy as games such as DA:O. The different options of skills or modes attack are the things such as swing, poke, slash, lunge, etc. and it works but it's held back by the clunky animations and simplistic visual feedback. But I don't want to further get on this since it's probably leaning on off-topic territory now and I'll just leave some recommandations for those who can't get into Morrowind's clunky setbacks too much. This one is a hardcore modification of the mathematics, but it should feel less of a chore still on combat. Here's something newb friendly and allows players to have better hit chances, thus hopefully eliminating frustration on the misses early game Here's something with combos and pretty much makes Morrowind more real time-ish
Your comment was elitist and moronic, like you were calling him out for being " a fucking casual" and then you went on to insult and prejudge him as someone who only enjoys simple games. So yes, in his position I'd get just as pissed off as he did. And you're being even more stupid here by saying its his fault for not enjoying the game because it is too hard, when he clearly stated the D&D gameplay doesn't mix well with the 1st/3rd person viewpoint because of how silly it appears while the animations were of poor quality. These are perfectly reasonable complaints. Morrowind is showing its age, not everyone can adapt to it.
What a good point. From now every game I don't like or found boring/hard/easy I'll call a "fucking piece of shit". Because that's how your logic looks right now.

Don't forget to mention the name of the game! But yeah for anyone wondering this is War Thunder.
What a good point. From now every game I don't like or found boring/hard/easy I'll call a "fucking piece of shit". Because that's how your logic looks right now.
Maybe it looks like that in your deluded view of it. Are you even capable of casting aside your laughable fanboyism so as to not make misapprehensions? I never even said anything close to that. The only person to even say "fucking piece of shit" in this entire thread was you in that post, so why are on earth are you using quotations? I mean I am scratching my head as to what words in my post you even used to establish that. I said that you can't just call him out on how he's wrong for not enjoying the game just because it is hard, when initially he never even stated it was hard. You *completely* ignored the fact his entire post's negative points were centered around the game's flaws in terms of VISUALS in conjunction or not with the gameplay. Get it in into that thick skull you have seemingly embedded in your arse.
Ho-ho, calm your butt, dude. Don't blame the game in YOUR fault. If it's hard for you - don't play. As Nacho said, Morrowind has D&D-like combat, which is not like spamming M1+M2. I agree, it's hard on the beginning, but once you understand the basics it turns out to be really awesome game.
No, D&D combat does not work in a video game, D&D combat is what it is because it's made for pen and paper play and there's no actual combat going on, so it's all based on dice rolls to simulate someone missing or hitting or dodging or all that. When it's in a video game and all that stuff is actually happening, you don't need to calculate whether someone hit or missed and whether someone dodged and attack or not, because IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING. It's fucking stupid hitting someone with a sword, SEEING the sword hit and make contact and then the game just goes "nope you missed" because of some pointless calculations. The problem is not because it's hard or whatever, the problem is that it makes zero sense in an actual video game where the things are physically happening.
In other words - 2hard4you. Go play your "Press X to Win" Skyrim then. Dude, this game was released 11 years ago.
as opposed to Morrowind's "Press X to have a stats based percentage of winning (unrelated to your actual skill level)"

I didn't know a Wii could handle such dynamic lighting...

Someone mentioned they'd found a way to create GIFs that weren't astronomical in size. Was it ever shared how?
Someone mentioned they'd found a way to create GIFs that weren't astronomical in size. Was it ever shared how?

Generally I use sony vegas to edit the clips I use, shortening them, cutting out what I need, zooming in on specific parts, etc, then I render it as an avi. I then put it in virtual dub, and under video/filter, I use resize and change it to 75%. I then export as a gif, but if it ends up over 5 or 6mb, I resize it to 50% instead. I then open it up in photoshop, use "Save for web", and change the colour to 128, and then save it. And also, make sure you don't record a clip with high framerate, and don't have ultra high quality HD shit
PMed it to someone earlier. Generally only works on shorter gifs though (3-4 seconds)
