I'm currently deciding whether or not to buy Mafia, what's it like? I'm not really looking forward to playing another GTA-like game. Bought GTA 4 in the christmas sale, and while I enjoyed the good writing, characters and the radio stations, the shooting wasn't really that good and driving around all the time gets old quickly.

Mafia 1 is different than GTA, it's a lot more realistic. Cops start chasing you if you drive over the speed limit etc. The story is better than in GTA imo and remember back when mafia 1 first came out it was pretty ground breaking.

Why can't it be optional or just for multiplayer? Forcing it to be able to save in SP is just bullshit. I'll probably end up buying it, but just because it's that cheap.

Is there a bypass like FOSE in Fallout 3?

The game was 300% better without GFWL popups every 10 secs.
