Oh that's just bullshit, I need 16 Faith for the meat cleaver? I'd unbderstand if it was some kind of holy weapon, but it isn't (it's a rusty big sword). Being soul level 47 and having 10 faith, is it worth advancing the faith stat to 16 to use the meat cleaver or should I just find another weapon?

Armored Spider is a bitch. How the fuck do I kill it? I've tried charging with shield and sword, but even when shielded I take quite a lot of damage, and I don't have time to heal. I've also tried shooting it with a crossbow, but it takes way too long to reload and I keep getting hit by the web shit so I can't dodge the large fireballs.

I just stayed there and popped out to cast a spell at him between his attacks.

Nope.

For the Spider, I equipped my best shield (steel shield +1 I think it was) and ran at him holding my sheld up, when I got there I healed (watch his pattern, after certain attacks he'll give you time to heal), just attacked him as much as I could while trying to defend when he attacked. It's definitely not a good strategy though, I did make it on the first try, but I used a shitload of healing items.

I'm tempted to use one of those stones that make you alive again.

Finished the game about an hour ago, got into newgame+ It's hella cool that you don't lose anything at all.

Never use them. You should have picked up a bow in 1-2 on the second bridge tower. Use that. Bring about 200 arrows. You may not need that many, but it's better to have too much than too little. Now I've finished World 2 3, 4 and 5, and I'm getting sad because I know the game will soon be over. Also (unless it changes drastically at the end) the first playthrough is pretty easy, I died only a few times (though each one made me rage) and I didn't find any part that couldn't be overcome by either patience or the right equipment. Also some bosses (mostly at the begginning) were hard, but the last 40% of the game is just too easy (on the first run), I have like 40 or more Full Moon grass and 20 or more New Moon grass, I barely even need tactics against bosses because by the time my healing items are depleted I could have killed them naked with my fists already. It's hard at the beginning (Tower Knight, Armour Spider and Flame Lurker), but after you got into the right mindset even bosses you had never seen before were easy to read and defeat. I know there are New Game+ and ++, but honestly playing it through a second time when you already have seen all the bosses, the higher difficulty doesn't really feel as awesome, afterall you already finished the game once, there is no more "Holy shit what do I do!?". I'm not saying that I don't like the patient approach you have to take (quite the opposite, because I really find it awesome that it's not just about mashing buttons). I really do hope they make a Demon's Souls 2, it has been a long time since I played a game as good as DS.

Also since DS is meant to be played online, it would be awesome if From Software had world events every now and then, like an enourmously difficult new boss (or a modified version of and old boss) spawning somewhere. Though From doesn't seem to be willing to add much content.

It will test your build and really let you know if you've done a good job on your character or not. The difficulty is rapped up a lot. Enemy health goes up, damage increases, certain items become useless to you (were as in the previous run they were very helpful), and you get the chance to play in a different tendency. If you haven't, PvP too. Invade some worlds, wait around in 4-1 or 4-2 to be invaded. As for server events, Atlus had a few since Demon's Souls release. Restarted as a Royalty, it's a shitload easier now. Magic is overpowered.

I got tired of using my Dual Katana build so I went ahead and made a Keel Smasher hyper mode build, the damage it can output is brilliant. The only problem is that I've suddenly encountered a lot of lag in my PvP battles recently due to having the Asian version. It's incredibly frustrating to take a swing at someone, see blood spurt out, realise that they've taken no damage and suddenly you're being backstabbed. I'll give it a try some time.[/QUOTE] His 'reviews' are mainly for comedy more than anything, so he tends to exaggerate negative features and make up things as he goes in order to make it more entertaining to watch. It's not really a problem if you're just looking to be entertained because he does that very well and I certainly get a few laughs out of most of his reviews, you really shouldn't look towards them for an indication of how good a game is though.

Also is there any other way (than using a bow/crossbow) to kill that blue dragon right before Ostrava's BP? I don't want to leave Biorr to die, he always wants to help me :frown:

What's best against Armored Spider, Magic Arrow or Flame Toss?
