What weapon should I use against False King? The meat cleaver is way too slow. That fucker also stole some of my soul levels, fuck.
[editline]11:55AM[/editline]
Also please tell me that Pure Black WT does not make the bosses stronger...
I used the meat cleaver on that boss and beat him on the second try. It's been a long time since then, so I don't really remember my strategy. I think I might have taken off some of my armor so I would be light enough to roll dodge quickly. I'm pretty sure black WT makes absolutely everything you fight against stronger.
I use the Blueblood Sword on the False King and it serves me much better than the Meat Cleaver.
I can roll perfect eitherway, with the Cleaver+Brushwood Shield or Blueblood.
The extra damage the Cleaver gives over the Blueblood isn't worth the speed trade-off.
Might farm some stats to get my Equip Burden up.
I'll try again being more careful, if that won't work then I'll go farm some souls and try to change the tendency.
What soul level should I be anyway? I'm 70 right now.

Also, should I make my Purple Flame Shield into a Dark Purple Flame Shield? I get better magic defence but lower physical defence.
Are False King Allant's attacks magical or physical? Because I need faith (which raises magic resistance) for some weapons, and I have the Dark Silver Amour that has high magic defence, so that would be better against him than the Brushwood if he attacks mainly with magic.
All his attacks have that white glow, so...

His magic explosion is magical but everything else is physical I believe.
The armor you're wearing is not that great of an idea because they are heavy, especially Brushwood. Use the Ancient King's armor instead.

I'd love to, but Ostrava's gone. I rescued him in 1-1 and 1-2 (and either between 1-1 and 1-2 or after 1-2 he appeared once in the nexus), but since then I haven't found him anywhere. I don't know his exact patrol schemes, but I'm quite sure I didn't leave anyone alive on his patrol route in 1-2.
Still I can't find anywhere so I guess I'll have to wait for NG+ for Old King Doran.
I'll try a lighter armour against Allant then, also I'll try to upgrade my shield a bit (it's a purple flame shield +1).
Large Sword of Moonlight is awesome, those fucking Red Eyed knights don't stand a chance.
I had my first Black Phantom PvP experience the other day, the guy just kept coming at me with his fists v:v:v
I fucking love this game, even if it fruststrates me to the point of not wanting to play it sometimes.

Did you rescue him in 1-3 by opening the gate? If you did rescue him, then he must have died somewhere without you noticing.

I do that sometimes. It's extra fun if you're the boss in world 3-3. You can just picture the look on their faces. They must be thinking, "Well, that was anti-climactic." Then I hit them in the face with my meat cleaver.

The one the Fat Official closes crushing a soldier? If it's that one, then no he wasn't there, so he must have died in 1-2 (I can't find the body but I guess that it would disappear when I returned to the nexus).
Ostrava died for me too.
I believe if you can't find him, you have the first time since he's gone to go find his original spawn point and pick up his key.
Problem with that is, you have no idea when he died, and if it's the first time back in that world since he died.
So basically, unless you're really lucky, if he dies, you've lost the key.
I just kill him now.

I must have gone in and out from that world at least 20 times since he disappeared, so his key is gone for good.
[editline]11:45AM[/editline]
Also what can you do to improve WT when you get to neutral? The BPs disappear, so do the Primevals and I already have killed all the bosses.

Getting PWWT is really something you have to plan for. You're SOL right now. Beating bosses and making sure you never die in body form are the way you keep your WT up. Suiciding in the Nexus and playing in soul form is the best way to make sure you never screw yourself from bring short of PWWT. Once you have PWWT there is only one, maybe a second, event related to it.
Here are the PWWT events: http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/white-world-tendency-events

Yeah, PWWT doesn't really seem worth the effort looking at the events (especially compared to PBWT, except for the Dragon Bone Smasher). I was thinking of gettin a WT as white as possible for that False King Allant (mostly because I don't want to try him again and again since I lose souls levels, so the best would just be to get there, kick his ass and be done with it).
Depends on the character. Faith builds may want to get a few worlds to PWWT. World 5 offers Istarelle and Bramd as well as an alright quest reward. World 3 and 4 have some valuable "Hyper Mode" gear. World 1 would drop your best light set if you're a female character.
I had PWWT on my first run in practically every world, by dumb luck.
Never tried for it or anything.

I have it on all worlds except for 1 and 2, the rest are PWWT (and 2 is very white anyway).
So basically the only world I would need to be (pure) white (world 1 for Allant) is black.
You sure you've killed all the Black Phantoms? BP Miralda too?
You sure you've killed all the Black Phantoms? BP Miralda too?
Yeah all character BPs. I think there are like 3 more generic ones, but I think that after killing like 1 or 2 it will go neutral WT and the remaining ones will dissappear.
Still I can get neutral, so it will help a bit.
Ok fuck False King Allant, other than having a shitload of HP and his attacks going through my shield, every time I die I have to start at the Penetrator's archstone and fight my way through archers, 2 red eyed knights, 2 fat officials and a fucking dragon.
Seriously, having to do things all over again because the checkpoints are so far away from eachother isn't challenging, difficult or fun, it's just boring and irritating (like learning maths, starting from the begginning and doing all the problems in the book, but if you do it wrong once, then you have to re-do the entire chapter of the book).
Do you have the spell Poison Cloud?
Do you have the spell Poison Cloud?
Nope, no spells sadly, only melee. I'll see if i find another BP to get it completely out of Black WT.
Also while the path to FKA is quite easy, it becomes hard after 5 times you do it and start losing your calm (and being hasty in this game is suicide).
[editline]04:37PM[/editline]
That fucker is very lucky that I do not have an internet connection (suitable for gaming) and can't get help from Blue Phantoms (I can immagine that there will be quite a few around that place).
I didn't see a single Blue Phantom in 2 hours waiting for one before the lift or the surrounding area.

Get poison cloud, sneak up to the stairs, cast, retreat, repeat.
I beat him that way because I was tired of that bullshit. It's an awesome game, but frustrating as all hell. Especially that damn poison swamp, at least the bosses were easy there. I never bothered to go into new game + though, I was just glad I conquered the game.

You have to get that spell, my guy was pure melee too but I got it and it helps so damn much.
I can't beat the False King, at all. To be fair I've only had like 3 times on him but it's the getting back to him that I fail at, normally I end up getting pummeled by a Red Eye Knight before I even get to the Dragon because I don't want to waste a stone before I get to the King.
Le sigh. I know how I can do the fight it's just I seem to need an infinite ammount of spices and grasses to get through it. I need a Blue Phantom :saddowns:

Seems like we both have the exact same problem. The bastards hits hard and goes through my shield (so if I parry I loose 1/5th of staming and HP each blow), and if he hits with one he usually follows up with at least 2 more.
The worst thing is having to get through all those enemies (especially the nearly one-shotting dragon) each time.
I can manage the Red Eyed knights now, but the problem are the fat officials with the dragon, and then the dragon on the stairs, because I'm in soul form. and therefore die in 1 or 2 hits (and using a SoEE is risky because it's highly I possible I will fuck up even slightly at the dragon+officials which means certain death).
I can do the Dragon just fine, you just need to follow his flame on the first bit and stay on the opposite side in the second. As for the fat officials, just run up to the barrels and let the Dragon torch them, use a bow and arrow to pull the furthest one to you and he will get torched too.
The thing that gets me is the second Red Eye Knight who will sometimes sneak up behind me and rape me while I'm dealing with the crossbowmen and the Assassin.

I'll try using a bow thanks, should make it easier to get rid of the official. The biggest problem is that after having died against the King 3 times I get irritated and usually end up doing something hasty, getting myself burned.
Also I hate it too when the Red Eye with the two-hander suddenly decides to jump down and attack you, but if you have a large weapon (like the meat cleaver), you can just spam R2 on him, he won't have time to get up and 2 or 3 hits will take care of him (of course you will need to get him away from the archers and assasin, otherwise you'll get slaughtered).
Also what soul level are you? I'm 83, I was thinking of either grinding 4-4 for souls (and level up) or 2-1 for hardstones (to upgrade my PF Shield +2, get it to +5 or something, but it will take a while).

Will try that tanks, I'll try it once more in a "clean" way, if that won't work then fuck it, I'll show that fucker I can be cheap too.
It also works with killing that old king for his kickass light armor. The one on the first level that is in the temple guarded by the red eye knight on the bridge. (Pure white only I think)
You can kill the dragon ya know. Take a while, but you can. You get a soul worth 30,000 too.

not PWCT/PWWT, but you need the Mausoleum Key off Ostrava.
