Demon's Souls - "I'm in trouble — please recommend this thread!" - Games

Just bought this game today and I went as a thief. I like the little messages on the floor, on the first level one said, You need a soul level of 40 to pass or something, I thought lol fuck it I'm awesome. Then I was raped. Also how do you level up?

Because that's pretty much classic, I don't think there is anyone that has not been raped by that Red-Eye at the start.

Well, I learned that the thief is a top shit class to start as, so I restarted as a royal or something. Obliterated 1-1 and 1-2. Didn't even die.

Dammit, I was being cornered to a fall and I launched my self off with a Soul Arrow, funnily enough I lived then a black knight or whatever those black guys are in the first level are came towards me, killed him and an arrow shot into my back and I died.

..and now I'm stuck again. I want to roll a BOW AND ARROW MOTHER FUCKER. Like Legolas or some shit. I'm guessing just put all my points in dex right?

And may I ask where did you get stuck?' Rerolling bow n arrow with pure dex build is fucking hard to play and you need to be pure skills with zooming and shit to kill another player, and you'll do shit dmg with every weapon that's not a dex weapon... But yeah, sure. with a bow you can do millions of bug abuse and beat the shit out of the game like it was WoW :P *btw I know what I'm talking about since I'm a pure dex archer with 70 dex everything else is to the minimum strengh level as required*

I just went fuck it all, and rolled a nice classy Knight. I'm kind of stuck on 2-2, in the lava place with all these hard as fuck to kill beetles.

just run through them <.< they r slow like fuck or take the shorter but moe dangerus jump road to 2-2 boss :P

I fucking love the long sword of moonlight. I use it with my paladin\heavy knight class. It is awesome because it's blade is made from moonlight and goes right through enemy shields. Some asshole black phantom came in with a tower shield, and wouldn't leave me alone, so I get the LSOM and just keep hitting him. He sent me messages saying that he was reporting me for cheating. Easiest boss ever btw is the old hero. all you have to do is put on the thief's ring, go up behind him, hit him 3 times, back away, and repeat. that fight was as much of a joke compared to the final one.

I'm all for making a game a challenge (even if it's artificial) but making items disappear from a world if you can't pick it up the first time is bs. on my third play through with my paladin/ heavy knight class. I keep getting attacked by black phantoms that hide in corners and use firestorm every time. too bad my fire resistance is 265 right now and it barely does any damage. Its either that or some fag who runs away and casts status affect spells and then attacks.

also, it is posible to kill the red eye knight when you first start the game, just takes a bit of planning, and running, lots and lots of running

If your good enough the Red Eye Knight at the start is a pretty nice early farming spot.

i haven't farmed once with my character. just keep wearing the ring of avarice or whatever and i get 1,200 souls on most enemies.

for the guy who needs help on flamelurker if you run with the thiefs ring around and on the stairs you should be safe for a bit if you use range he mite find a way up (lol its just stairs) if he dose run around and go back on the stars so hes stuck again and im a lvl 35 thief useing a Sharp Uchigatana +3, dark heater shield +3 lava bow and silver magic thing (for Fireball and acid cloud) so add me if u please my psn is "kafurie" also if u are a black phantom and die by falling you lose a soul lvl and keep the stats so you can spam that and get skill ponts for cheep but your defense will get lowered each time you delvl

anyone here playing the european version? i did 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 3-1 and 4-1 and only got invaded once and the dude was wuss while i was running towards him he used his gay ass stone and disappeared. what do you lose when a black phantom invades your game and kills you? all of your souls? heard something of losing a soul level

There is one level that i can't get past... I'll check which level it is when i get home after work. The last time i played the game was like 5 months ago. Been stuck there ever since... It's such a pain in the ass.

If you ever get stuck just check up a guide <.< but please don't fuck the game by bug abuses

The game is rather cheap now. Would've bought it if it wasn't for ATLUS shutting down the MP in March.
