I love this game. The only complaint I have is they need a way to invite friends. I can't even count how many times Corndog and I tried to play but we couldn't see each others soul signs. (Yes we were within 10 levels)
Well, if you beat the boss in the tutorial, it's a cut scene. You will die at the end of the tutorial no matter what. When you actually fight him, yes, he can punch and kill you in one shot as well, but you'll have the chance to kill him, obviously.
Also, you can't die BEFORE the end of the tutorial. You actually can't do it. You just run around with an empty life bar.

Lol. That's good to know. Next time I won't waste my crescent moon grass.

Pretty much, just use it to enhance the Purple Flame Shield. The Flame Shield is going to be the best shield you have until you pick up the Dark Silver Shield in 5-3, then it kind of depends if you want better physical over magic immunity. Personally, I think the Dark Silver > Purple Flame. Dark Silver Shield is also not a full shield, so it's better for "light" characters.

I prefer being speedy to being able to soak damage. I have like 12 strength so the Purple flame shield is out of the question. TBH a dark heater shield has been doing me extremely well. I haven't seen the silver shield yet. Although I DO have a pure cloudstone already so maxing it shouldn't be too bad. I would really like a pure darkmoonstone though.

I always hate the satirical reviews. It stems from my hate for trolls. It makes me laugh though how he doesn't lock on to any enemies. (I'm betting on purpose for trolling reasons.)

Pump Strength to 22 and you'll not have to go higher, unless you want to wear heavy armor and use large weapons. That will give you the Purple Flame and easy access to bows.

I like Jim, but I don't like his video series. Sarcasm is cool, but it's a bit much in his videos.
Are their any other requirements for the WT event in 1-1? I still can't get in because the gate is still there.

He doesn't have a great voice for sarcasm.

Pure White or Pure Black.
What items are you going after? Miralda drop's a set of armor for female's when Pure White and a one handed axe in Pure Black.

That's 10 levels I'd have to spend. And with my next level costing me about 25k souls before adding in the fact that I would need to up my endurance so I can still hop around under 50% encumbered I don't think I'm up for that much grind. Plus it'd make my enemies stronger while I'm essentially standing still. All of my damage comes from my MP, including my weapons.

Well I figured I'll do the white tendency event, being that I have the chance.
I just recently beat the first playthrough... the game rocks.. and I wish I could play it more... But my PS3 Yloded... T-T
I've heard there are trophies you can only get in a pure white tendancy and some you can only get with a pure black one. Anyone know what they are?

Oh shit. 2k posts!
[editline]04:47PM[/editline]
Where's my gold?
I kept misreading the title as 'Demoman's souls'.
The White World Tend. event is going to go on until the 28th.
I picked up the spear from 5-1, the Keel Smasher which I missed the first time around, and...I'm not sure what else I can go for in Pure White, equipment-wise. Maybe I'll beat Old King.
Maybe it's a good tiem for me to start a second character so I can get some of the strong white weapons.

You can get them with whatever current character you have. Starting a new character isn't a terrible idea either. It would be a lot easier to kill stuff.

I know I COULD get them with my current guy (level 60) but they'd be of no use other than for the trophies.
Bad stats?
So I finished the game, for real. Just had the final boss (Old One) to finish. Now in a New game+ and it has been so epic in the first two sections, specifically 1-2. I had TWO invasions while I was working on the dragon. The first one is pretty funny. I see him invade, and since I'm killing the dragon I can see right where he is coming from. As soon as I see him start to move to avoid the dragon fire, I shoot at him and he starts swerving to avoid my arrows. This delayed him just long enough to get caugh in the next pass of the dragon. One Black Phantom down. Second one was EPIC. As soon as the invasion message pops, I released the last arrow to kill the dragon, so I couldn't do the same thing as last time. We both meet at the bridge and just wail on each other. This would have been easy but I didn't have any offensive spells. We are both on our game for this fight and it's a stalemate. There was ONE close call for the other guy, but he recovered. He starts swinging his shield about 3/4th into our fight, and I realize he is trying to parry me. I get the same idea and on his next attack I parry him and WHAM! One shot right into the chest. Sent him a good game message.

Definitely not bad stats. I've yet to be bested by a black phantom. My guy is not built to be a strength fighter as my weapons get their damage from my magic power. So really I only need decent endurance (which I have now) to equip slightly better armor (currently wearing plate) and then good magic scores. (40 atm). I keep myself under 50% encumbered so I'm very quick to dodge and it works extremely well. Between my Soul Ray and my Crescent Falchion +5 I've done very well for myself.

Like it was said in the PSNC thread, looks good. I'd say go for it. Maybe I'll run into your bloodstain on the battlefield.

Never heard of it. I would try to get the NA version tho.
I've had several lol-worthy moments on this game.
Once I was trying to get my body back on 3-2(Tower of Latria; Fool's Idol Archstone) as a black phantom. It was my first time playing the level so I was trying to explore a bit. I went off onto the fallen bridge just after the first column/tower thing. The player decided to attack me before I got to him, and got on the bridge as well. I was at the end of it so I had to either attack him or run past. I ran at him, planning to just run by and get ahead of him in the level. He thought I was going to attack him, so he rolled to the side. Right off the bridge.
Easiest kill ever.

Literally the only difference between them is the manual is in english in the NA version.

World 3 seems to be my crutch. I hate levels that use being super dark as part of the reason you're gonna die. (Eg. Falling off of one of the 3000 ledges.)

The servers are different too, and you don't get the events Atlus runs like the Christmas event going on now.
You'd be better off getting the NA version.

The World 3-2 is the only one like that. A lot of the levels are super dark, but if you take it slow and careful then you'll never die from falling. I never have.
The game is teaching people bad grammar. Just look at the OP and the misplacement of apostrophes it has.
Facepunch has tought you incorrect vocabulary. The word you're looking for is punctuation.
