btw is this game anything like oblivion? Imo oblivion was toooo big you're walking half the time
The levels are linear and straightforward. The two games are very different experiences.

Yep. I was one lucky bastard that I had a bud that found one on his sixth run and I can't find one despite killing that skeleton over three hundred times now.
11m souls later...
:suicide:
nothing.

Well, linear yes, straightforward...not always :)

Tell me about it. I've been trying to get a pure darkmoonstone or a chunk of cloudstone and neither the mobs in 4-3 or the CG's are dropping either.
I actually raged at this game for the first time the other day. Surprisingly it wasn't because of an enemy or part of the level.
The two blue phantoms I had with me left right after the boss fight started.(Tower Knight)
And then I got him down to maybe 1 more hit to the head and he'd die...and his shield got in my way.

That sucks. Tower Knight is super easy though once you know what his attacks look like.

I've noticed NG+ really highlights the flaws in your character build also.
Yeah, on my first character I got to NG+ and just simply couldn't progress. He was awful, kicked ass in NG, but after that I was screwed.
However my priest in his NG+ kicks ass but I got stuck at maneaters :C haven't played since then

I'm scared of this TBH. I haven't played for a week or so though (trying to platinum GOW Collection before giving it back to my friend). I've got an awesome battlemage going but I think I'm gonna get my ass handed to me in NG+.

Let's talk about your fears. What is your feeling like? Me either. How did you get it Where did you get it?

maneater :crying:
on my latest playthrough that fucker needed one more hit and he knocked me off.

I boned myself a little bit by hybridding too hard early on trying to be a lightweight melee battle mage thing. I was using strength based weapons to go with my spells and buffs but now i've got blue blood sword those points in strength are wasted.
I've only got 40 points in magic anyway, could have a lot more. Could probably even have my 6th magic slot as well (only need 2 more levels :D )
I may or may not start again, not sure if I want to. I kinda want that 'learn all magic' trophy and i'm in the best position to do that with my current character having already knowing most of them.
How funny would this be:
Start as a barbarian
Upgrade no stats at all
Go through 1-1. Go to 3-1 and grab the baby's nail.
Invade in 1-2 at SL9. Hit someone with the baby's nail and retreat. They now have the plague and do not have a widow's lotus.

You'd need a black eye stone, wheres the easiest place to get one from?
I keep getting it from the Black Phantom outside the Fool's Idol in 3-1.
If you're off to 3-1 for the nail anyway you'll get one then. You could even use the colourless demon's soul exploit, get 5 of those, cheese flamelurker then wreak havoc with your baby's nail +5 and watch as they frantically munch crescent grass until they run out and die!
What exploit?
What exploit?
Yeah, what exploit?
get primeval demon to 1more hit to die, invade, on the 2nd "invading world as black phantom" quickly kill demon and loot, die by host, demon is back in your world. repeat.

If you've got a character around 270, I've got the items you need for the trophies. Just add me if you'd like. Same name.
Don't go combo crazy on old man Allant. Just whack him once or twice then back off. Also, try to smack him when he charges his area of effect attacks. You'll disrupt his attack and deal greater damage. Lastly, supposedly if he drains one of your soul levels and you die later on in the battle, you can retrieve your lost souls plus the souls he supposedly drained from you off of your bloodstain.
Oh alright
I think I can beat him but my partners keep dying to him
also I heard that enemies get stronger when you die, but do the bosses get stronger too?
Yes. The more you get to PBWT the more powerful the enemies become, but the better drop rate there is for rare stuff.
Just started playing this. I got 1hit by the boss at the end of the tutorial... are you even supposed to be able to beat him? I also got killed like 6 times in 1-1 by some dude on a bridge, I take it i'm not supposed to go that way?
Wait, so when you die in this game you can re-gain your souls and everything you lost by helping someone else in game right?

You can beat him, but you're not really suppose to.
And yes, you're suppose to avoid the Red Eye Knight. He's there to kill you're newbie ass.
Wait, so when you die in this game you can re-gain your souls and everything you lost by helping someone else in game right?
No. If you want your souls back you need to get back to your bloodstain before you die again, otherwise you lose all of them.
Just beat the game for the first time :smug:
Ended with the immortal kings set and the Large Sword of Moonlight.
Welcome to the true Demon's Souls.

I started 1-1 so I could finish the first boss before going to sleep so I could train with my 150k souls.
My son suddenly woke up so I went into the other room for like 30 seconds to see what happened, came back and someone had invaded my game and had just put the killing blow on me.
What a great start.
I just helped someone else kill the tower knight. Now I've got to do it myself.
