I never understood the episode naming. A half life 2 trilogy suggests hl2 split into 3 parts not hl2 full and 3 expansions.

It took 6 YEARS for Valve to pump out Half-Life 2 after the release of Half-Life in '98, and about 1-2 years between the episodes.
They're probably (And are.) working on bigger and better things right now, like Portal 2 and it's co-op campaign.
Half-Life 2: Episode Three/Half-Life 3 is going to be released a long time from now, if at all.

yeah thats true but a LOT of people got srsly pissed when they didn't hear anything about Half life. Like me i just got the orange box at the beginning of this year to see what the hype was about (and to Finnish what i started on half life 2 on the original xbox) and what the episodes were and now im IN LOVE WITH IT, AND i do agree that Portal 2 and its Co-op campaign would be great but IT IS NOT bigger and better than that of Freeman. BUT like i said, my 2 theories are possibilities BUT then again Valve could just be screwing with us to want us to want IT more BUT we might not want IT by the time it comes out. all we have to do is find what IT is. but untill then we will just have to stick with classics like CS:S and mods
