Everyone who says that it should have been released by now don't realize how much work it takes to make a full-length game with modern tech. So what if they're "just" remaking HL1? If you've actually looked at the comparison shots of their mod and the original you should now just how much more detailed they're making everything.
I still think it looks better than HL2, which disgusts me in ways I cannot imagine. Damn it VALVe you should've made Episode 3 instead of L4D2
Highly looking forward to playing this. On a related note, I am a sad, poor soul who doesn't actually own HL1, but I have been intending to buy and beat it soon. Should I get the original, or HL1:Source? The main appeal to me for source is Gmod compatibility, although I highly doubt anyone actually uses the models or textures from it.
I'm really disgusted by all the whiny fucking idiots who complain that this mod hasn't been released yet. Shut the hell up you fucking 12 year old dumbasses. You have no idea how hard it is to reproduce a full retail game from scratch yet you complain that it takes too long. The people behind it are doing this for free. For you. I don't care if they release it this year or next year. They will release it when they think it's done and not when you ADHD fuckheads want them to. Shut your fucking faces and get the fuck out you spoiled twats.
I've had a huge feeling since last month, that something big, if not the Mod's release will happen on November 19...
maybe it will happen tomorrow :buddy:
maybe it will happen tomorrow :buddy:
Nah it won't.You can see that they are still testing stuff in the mod.
Released tomorrow ! Is what I'd be saying to you if we lived in a universe where Episodic content worked, DNF was released and IW weren't greedy cunts.
Black Mesa isn't "Episodic content" though.
When this comes out, I'm willing to bet money that Valve buys it from them and sells it on Steam. I hope to be among the first downloaders who get it while it still retains its "mod" status.
VALVe already know about it. The name has been changed from Black Mesa: Source to just Black Mesa, as VALVe didn't want people thinking that they had been helping to develop it. Like all Source mods, you're gonna need Steam to run it, but other than that, VALVe aren't gonna do anything.

Just look a gmod when it was free and what it is now.

Off topic: about your universe... where's the "expansions replaced DLC"?
"Black Mesa:Source will be released sometime November/December This Year or Sometime 2010" To bad its not coming out on 11th aniversary... that would be epic....
1 more day!
1 more day!
If only.
Btw, it's not coming out tomorrow. Don't count on it.
Why do you people keep thinking it'll be out tomorrow.
Why do you people keep thinking it'll be out tomorrow.
It just requires one random guy to start screaming like it's the truth and it'll convince a lot of idiots. Worked for religion.

maby it has something to do with halflifes 11 birthday? [editline]07:25PM[/editline] speaking of that, who would want black mesa playermodels in gmod?
Released!
no it isn't
/sarcasm

I believe in mods, I'm still waiting for special unit and nuclear-dawn to come out.
I believe so far that this has been one of the best running gags since it started showing up back a few years back. This mod so far smells of Duke Nukem Forever and until it gets released, I'm beginning to doubt it has anything more than what pictures were taken...bravo guys at Black Mesa, you've done us over! (PS, ...did they fall for it yet?)
