That's Black Mesa's Leech. I pulled it off the website.
That's half-life 1 and 2 respectively leech. It was already in HL2 and HL2: Lost Coast
I find funny how a 2cm leech is more detailed than the world model of most weapons.

No that's the HL2 leech on the bottom and HL1's leech on the top, open it up in HLMV and look.
Funny how they expected an '09 release. Yet they only realized that they would not make it about a week before the year ended. I reckon they are pretty damn close. Also, they said:
"a mod team member has to eat his shoe, but we hope our loyal fans will forgive us and realize that the delay will translate into a better final product that's (hopefully) more easily available to everyone."
Maybe they are just finishing up and buying servers/bandwidth for the release, as they obviously know that half the internet will fucking die the second they release the mod. Every motherfucker on the entire planet will be downloading this thing. It is the shit. Do you know how long it takes to set up over 600 different servers? Cause I sure as hell don't.

My apologies, I just assumed it was Black Mesa's leech because it was on the website.
the newer leech looks terrible, it's missing an eye on each side and it has no teeth!
Think about it, they're all really great artists and programmers, but what they're doing isn't innovative at all. There's nothing new here, as they already have the story, level design, game elements, etc. all written down for them..
Fuck originality! After all, something doesn't have to be original to be great.
If I remember, Portal was rehashed from a game the employees made a while ago. :U

Yeah thousands of people will be downloading it.Also how many people have visited the black mesa Page?

Well to be honest, it's not like you will be seeing it in detail every time you encounter it. You pretty much swim as fast as you can.

This. I was too busy swimming away from them in HL1 to get a good look at them, and they're tiny, anyways.
I was banned from group chat because of giving them the 2005 leak :v:
I'm dissappointed with BM:S with only small details. Like having springheels on the BlackOps (even though it makes sense, the springheels are kind of an Aperture Science thing), a GP-25 on the MP5K (and not going for the HD pack wich has an M4 with the M203)
But in overall, I'm really hyped for this mod.

They said that they put in a console command to switch the view model of the MP5K with the M4, but they will behave the same way
Cool, then there's just the springheels left to annoy me if I'm right.
They said that they put in a console command to switch the view model of the MP5K with the M4, but they will behave the same way
Then they said they removed that.
Now it's back to annoy me :sigh:
Spring heels were on the Combine Assassin. It's not just an Aperture Science thing.

Spring heels can be found in OZ.
A bunch of mods deserve it, but to be honest with you guys, I don't think BM really does.
Think about it, they're all really great artists and programmers, but what they're doing isn't innovative at all. There's nothing new here, as they already have the story, level design, game elements, etc. all written down for them. All they're doing is using their talent to recreate it.
It's gonna be a great mod, and I'd love to see some of the guys put to professional use, but this mod isn't really what that should be based on.
Plus they take longer to release a game than Valve themselves :|
Plus they take longer to release a game than Valve themselves :|
That's because they're working on a ludicrously low budget with a dev team of like 25, whereas Valve has like million dollar budgets and massive dev teams.
Quick question, why do people keep complaining about small details like gun models and spring-heels on Assassins? You aren't really going to be going "goddamn look how unnecessary that small part of the model is" when you're frantically trying to not get killed by it are you?

That's the old model. The model they are gonna use looks more like a modified MP5A5 with an M203GL.

They said that as of now, it is very very unlikely that the M4 will make it in. Besides, the fact that a 5.56 Assault Rifle is using 9mm Pistol Ammunition bothered me more than what kind of Grenade Launcher is had.
I'd still prefer the M4, but the MP5A5 with M203 will do as that was what it was (well, MP5SSD, but I doubt Valve knew back then that it was silenced)

As long as I see what I used to see in half-life 1 I am fine.
The Mp5 is much better than the M4 as its true to Half-Life, the M4 and Berretta were only added in the HD pack, I would not be happy if i was made to use an Berretta instead of the Glock, It just wouldnt be the same, and I like the new Mp5 model better than the one with the eotech, its more true to the original.
Anything is better than a glock.
Yeah I'd really rather the beretta than a glock
I loved the m4 and the beretta - that rifle sounded amazing and the muzzle flash was awesome too. i wish games nowadays did more idle things with thier weapons...
