Uh in Nihilanthr model ,are all the heights and lows in the model from the bumpmap texture , or are they geometrical , if they are geometrical that would lag as shit
Thats the Highpoly model, which is created then more detail is painted in Zbrush then baked onto the low poly version as bumpmaps. I mean look at the detail in the Hive Hand, that alone would be millions of polys if that was all geometry lol. But its not so dont worry :)

Where did you get those? I've seen them before somewhere, and I'm 100% sure they aren't Black Mesa. For one, the BM Team has never released Xen Media, that includes the Plant and the Nihilanth. And next, the Hivehand you've pictured is not the same as the [url=http://wiki.blackmesasource.com/index.php/Hivehand]Black Mesa Hivehand[/url].

Those three models posted above aren't official at all. I think they were made by one member of the forums and he used the Nihilanth to become part of the developer team. That plant thing and Nihi were Xen concept arts for community event on BMS forums.
I'm 100% sure it's not official media, not sure about the rest I posted.
Also not mention the poly count would kill any normal PC frame rate.

which basically repeats what he said, they canceled the time(that they wanted to release it for) to work on it further.
