Really, dissing such potential for casual games should be a crime.
That's usually how business works sadly. No matter how much quality a product has, it gets cancelled if theres no money in it for some people.
Mumbojumbo don't know what goldmine they have cancelled. The first game was popular and the sequels would have just inflated the audience.
The first game was popular
It failed to sell enough to pay the development cost of the series.
I really liked the weird onslaught mode they had. Wasted many hours trying to get a high score.
Dem jiggle physics.
How long is the game? Might buy it to help bridge the time until Portal 2 if it's not too short.
I have never heard of this.
How long is the game? Might buy it to help bridge the time until Portal 2 if it's not too short.
I'd say it took me about 7 or 8 hours to play through it. It's a linear story driven shooter at its core, but has a lot of interesting elements.

It's also odd how they made certain advancements in the engine that still haven't been implemented / recreated in Valve's versions, like how separate parts of models can have different material types (say you've got a crate with a metal band around it or something and they're part of the same model - in normal Source, or at least older Source, shooting the metal would have wood chips flying out, but in SiN, the wood was wood and the metal was metal). I want to play this, but at the same time the, eh.. Women, make me wonder if the game tried to sell on sex appeal rather than gameplay. Plus I don't want to be disappointed by a cliffhanger. :saddowns:

No doubt some ambitious modders could pull off a sequel of their own.

I was one of the people who pre-ordered this, great game I just wish they didn't get bought out by Popcap or whoever the hell did that.
I don't think Popcap is in the business of buying out other companies and stopping whatever the fuck they're doing to solely work on casual games. Even then I'm sure they'd have some integrity to let them finish whatever.
No doubt some ambitious modders could pull off a sequel of their own.
I've been working on one, but a damaged SDK doesn't help. I have on an unrelated note however have a fixed Hardcorps Magnum so NPC's can use it (Thanks to Barnz) and I've also fixed the SinTEK flying grunt.
I was wondering, did anyone ever manage to extract files from "unaired episode files" (I don't remember the exact name for the file) GCF?
Bought this yesterday :v: It's actually quite fun. I'm impressed by the graphics, the models look great and they have decent voice acting. Also, I'm in love with ... wait for it ... the pistol. I don't know, it's just satisfying to use. Going to play some more later today.
Aw, this looked really good. I definetly want to buy this now, it's pretty cheap on Steam too for $10. Still, I wonder if it was possible for another company to buy off the franchise from those stupid casual devs.

[editline]12th April 2011[/editline]
Or have a bunch of friendly modders make their own version?
The problem would probably be voice actors. Unless use other voice actors.
Valve? The problem would probably be voice actors. Unless use other voice actors.
Valve aren't very good with Episodic content. And voice actors would be easy as long as you got good impersonations.
Valve aren't very good with Episodic content.
But they know Source engine the best.
It also had this motherfucker
I liked it when you get the secret dopefish chaingunners at the end.
Just purchased it, I'm waiting for Steam to restart so it can start installing.
Wait? So if we purchase Sin Episodes on steam now, the money goes to MumboJumbo? Oh god...
