Oh, I got you. You take it further into the map. Keep going the direction you're supposed to be going. You'll find a room that has two of those big green machines that look like water turbines. They are arranged with one on the left and one on the right, and they're staggered a bit. It goes kind of between them.
edit - yeah, what stimich said. It's a little past that. You'll go up a second set of stairs, and it's in a dark room.

So in the images people found there are some biological symbols. We know that Glados was talking about having a "backup" of Chell's scanned mind. Because of the nature of her speech and things she says we never knew if she lied or not.

Now here there's an image of two turrets and what seems to be a silhouette of a human being in a sphere.
But what's more interesting is the text.
Cave is talking about being dead, yet not being dead. This could mean his body is dead, yet somehow his mind/spirit is still alive. Doubtfully it's his spirit, as Aperture Science is about, you know, science. So this would mean his mind is alive somehow without his body.
In short: Brain scanning. Aperture Science found a way how to scan a persons mind. Androids possibly being once human/animal.

I know, but i don't think they would show clues through steam friends, the clues are right in front of us, the ASCII images, the Reversed Dino Sounds, ect.
