Just played the ending of Portal again, and I find it hard to believe that you guys couldn't tell that the robot is DEFINITELY Cave Johnson.

Cave has a much more fanciful manner of speaking. Read the example lines given later in that article you linked, or read some of his personal memos from the BBS. He would have spoken much more differently.
The only counter argument for this I could think of would be that "party escort submission position" was cave's term, but even that doesn't sound like cave...
Pretty freaky...
It is a really good thing that the gamer community (or at least facepunch) is paranoid enough to be really good at this detective/decoding shit, otherwise I think Valve's little hints would fall on blind eyes.

The voice isn't really upbeat and eccentric like it states in the ad. However, this is Valve, and the possibilities are endless...
If I was VALVe and had released this update with all these clues, anticipating everyone to go all Sherlock Holmes and instead just have the community go, "Oh cool an update" I'd be pissed.

these things aren't here by chance.
also, the update was totally sketch, as in it didn't do anything to the game engine/maps or whatnot, just added new radio sounds, there was obviously something afoot.

Guys it's quite clear that Valve wouldn't let this update go unnoticed... IGN, Yahoo Games, Games Spy, etc. all had on their main page (for PC games) the news about a weird update for Portals, its not a coincidence IMO, my guess Valve tip all of them about their update being "special" or even asking for some assitance.

Well considering the update itself was
"Changed radio transmission frequency to comply with federal and state spectrum management regulations"
And had absolutely nothing to do with the game it was always going to get a lot of attention
Portal 2, most likely. I think if they were teasing ep3 they'd fuck about with ep1/2.

Yeah. Plus, as many of us have said before, I think that Portal 2 will come before Ep. 3 because Portal 2 could give more details story wise for ep. 3.
