The Elder Scrolls Megathread V. why the fuck hasn't anyone else made this?

I seemed to have fixed it... somehow.
I still have no idea what caused this, but after disabling and enabling tons of combinations of mods I had it just started working again.

Thanks for the help either way guys.

Did you have a mod installed that required some DLC you don't own?
I was having that problem and it turned out I accidentally enabled the Dawnguard plugin for Improved Dragon Shouts
I don't want you in the temple, he said.
I don't want you to have a head, I said.

did she craft a shirt out of wood on the trip over?
I've started having an interesting, but not game-breaking, issue.
About a week ago I started noticing that when entering a new cell, something was in my way, blocking me. At first I thought it was the door-teleport markers, as this 'thing' was always in the exact place where I loaded into a cell. Maybe a plug-in glitch from one of my mods had made them clip with the player for some reason? I wasn't sure, and with so many mods running I couldn't be bothered to troubleshoot. As I said, the issue doesn't break the game and only occasionally causes problems in confined spaces where I can't get around whatever it is that's blocking me.
Then 'it' fucking spoke to me.
I was doing a dragon nest run to unlock more perks and had just loaded in to Bonestrewn Crest. As usual, I found myself blocked by something but in such an open area, I just moved around it and proceed to kill the dragon in a very heroic fashion. While I was absorbing the dragon's soul, I heard the murmur of an NPC commenting on the death of the dragon, which struck me as odd, this far out in the wilds. I cast Candlelight and looked all over, but no trace on an NPC could be found. Perplexed, I started casting an AoE dispel, in case my audience was somehow invisible or 100% chameleon. Nothing.
I gave up and teleported to the Dragon Stones to spend my souls. Loaded in, ran forward to the stones and that's when I heard it again, directly behind me. A male voice, sounded like a Bosmer. "So they can be killed", it said. I spun around in confusion, but there was no-one there. At this point it occurred to me that whatever it was that was blocking me, was in fact an invisible NPC, who apparently follows me like a companion. I tried to remember if I'd had any Bosmer followers since starting this game, and then it hit me: Faendal.
Faendal has been my first companion, straight outta Riverwood. We'd wound up in Markarth, and without realising I'd accidentally started The House of Horrors. Faendal had somehow been corrupted by Molag Bal and had turned on me at the same time as the Vigilant, I'd had to put them both down. This was quite a big deal for me at the time because I've been trying to play this character as Lawful Good, and turning on my companion seemed like the start of a spiraling descent. However, I'd stuck with my choice and forgotten about it. Faendal, apparently, hasn't.
TL;DR my game is haunted and Molag Bal is a dick.

Exaggerate it a bit, add some backstory how you got your game from a garage sale from some creepy old guy, add random blood appearing everywhere and you'll have a top-notch creepypasta.
is there any way to make weapons of any type scale to another certain weapon (i.e. iron greatsword dealing same stats as daedric greatsword)
the carved nordic greatsword looks sexy but my daedric sword is better

you could do a simple model replacement in the CK
you could do a simple model replacement in the CK
Or just replace the stats.
Is there any mod for Oblivion that is like iHud or aHud? I can't live without that shit.
Invisible Wood Elf story
This is exactly what happened to me a while back, except they multiplied and locked me near the door of my home when I entered because there was so many of them. Their constant chants of "Need something?", "Yes?", and "Hmmh?" still haunt me. Turns out it was caused by Wet and Cold, and I made this to get rid of them. Newer versions of W&C supposedly fix it though.
I have no idea what iHud is but there is this.
Look in the user-submitted section for pictures.
iHud lets you configure your hud to hide itself at certain times. So you can set your health not to display unless it is at 50% or have your magic and fatigue display only when they are being used, while still having other hud elements untouched.

Just read this http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40340
For the love of god, is there a mod or an .ini command that disables the mouse control for horses?
You'd think they would have taken a page from M&B's book and limited horse movement to the arrow keys when using your weapon, it's very hard to fire a bow from horseback when your horse follows the crosshair.
They should have taken a lot of pages from M&B's book.

Does anybody else think that adopting kids is a bit odd for this game.
so, is dragonbjorn worth $20?
Does anybody else think that adopting kids is a bit odd for this game.
I adopted children and filled their room to the brim with human skulls
[editline]14th March 2013[/editline]
immersion~
Does anybody else think that adopting kids is a bit odd for this game.
Depends on how you play. I adopted the little girl in whiterun, she stays at my home with Ysolda, and I visit quite often, so it works for me.
If it was implemented for roleplaying I can think of about 30 things they could have done instead.
If it was implemented for roleplaying I can think of about 30 things they could have done instead.
Does one of them include abuse?
Does anybody else think that adopting kids is a bit odd for this game.
I would be a horrible father because I would visit every 3 days.
[editline]14th March 2013[/editline]
Also has Anyone been to Angi's camp? I never been to it before and how it's pretty cool.
Does one of them include abuse?
One of them includes spellmaking.
[editline]14th March 2013[/editline]
I have this big problem right now where I hate the fuck out of this game even though I seem to be playing it every few days.

Great way to raise your archery skill quickly at high levels, too. If you're at 80 or so you can get about 5 free points of archery skill by doing the training with her.
On a sidenote, how come all the marriage candidates are shit? Angi would have made a great follower/marriage combo.
