I smelt pony discussion coming from this thread... [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] Just came back from the lake district yesterday, and we had torrential snow whilst climbing the mountains. Felt very Skyrim-like. Couldn't help but hum the tune :v:
Beware. Us, fellow bronies are not looked brightly upon around these areas.
Ponies, you say? Dammit, it takes forever to remove the rainbow stains from the barbecue...
Beware. Us, fellow bronies are not looked brightly upon around these areas.
Neither, is broken, english.
Okay, I feel like i've shitted up the thread somehow now, so let's get back on topic: How does this new archery system differ from the old one? Never tried this mod it's supposedly based on...
You can stick an arrow into someone's skull and actually expect him to die in one shot, save for arrows being more valuable now.

How long do you think it will be after release until there are dragon porn mods?
How long do you think it will be after release until there are dragon porn mods?
5 minutes.
5 minutes.
That long huh? Why do people keep rating posts about my computer funny?
5 minutes.
4 minutes and 59 seconds "hypno toad is closest without going over"
5 minutes.
They'll need to adapt to the new engine. I give 'em 7.
4 minutes and 59 seconds "hypno toad is closest without going over"
"What was the last bid?" "4:59" "Ok, I'll go with 4:58 then." :smug:
Can anyone name some games releasing between now and the release of Skyrim? I can't mindlessly speculate for 8 months
Can anyone name some games releasing between now and the release of Skyrim? I'll probably just be renting a lot of these, but it's still quite a lot compared to the last couple years.
Might be some New Vegas DLC.
Witcher 2 as well OH and Crysis 2 too
Dead Island (maybe).
I doubt it, considering the fact that it was just recently pulled out of development hell (At least, I think it was in development hell) and that they haven't even been confident enough to release some actual footage yet. I don't know why I forgot about The Witcher 2, especially considering how much I love how it somehow ended up having less adolescent pandering than Dragon Age 2 in it's marketing. Something which someone really needs to speak to Bioware about, because it's gone from "Haha, it's almost like a dating sim!" to "Holy shit, it's literally more dating sim than it is combat sim, what the fuck." Back on topic, I'd really love to see Bethesda at least try to pull of a decent Speechcraft system. Morrowind was okay, but it had the "Taunt" button, which was basically a glorified "Kill this person legally" button. Although it was pretty fun killing every weak character I could find, stealing their stuff and taking over their home :v:.
Even though it might as well be vaporware by now, From Dust seems awesome.
oh god don't even mention that :ohdear:
I heard someone mention "From Dust" before. What is it again?

That is AMAZING [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] First day buy
That is AMAZING [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] First day buy
Looks like it'll get repetitive quickly.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSOQGazo7Oo
That looks really fun, I love the whole dynamic terrain thing.
Wow, I really hope From Dust gets released. Is there any recent information on it?
I kinda wish Oblivion had a inventory grid mod. I know, I know, it doesn't really fit with the game, but I happen to like inventory tetris and it'd make it more realistic if the inventory limit wasn't just weight based, but also that you can't fit seventy plate mail armors in your (invisible) backpack
Wow, I really hope From Dust gets released. Is there any recent information on it?
Nope, I made a thread when it was announced, but it died pretty quickly because they have only released one tech demo and then complete silence. It's been a while now and still nothing. There supposedly is a Q&A with Chahi but they just talk about it on their Facebook and don't link shit (how about a decent website instead of Facebook?). Anyway back to Skyrim now let's not derail.

But who wants to twist and turn every nirnroot, scroll or potion? The reason it worked in RE4 is because it was a 'survival horror' game ( :airquote: ) and you needed to agonize over items. TES shouldn't be that way when it comes to inventory.
I doubt it would be agonizing even if you couldn't carry those 10 suits of plate armor stolen from dead bandits back town.
I doubt it would be agonizing even if you couldn't carry those 10 suits of plate armor stolen from dead bandits back town.
That's terribly agonizing.
