In the new engine they should use package/parent style modding, so instead of your mod going "This is <whatever file>" it should be saying "Append this to <whatever file>/remove this from <whatever file>"
Some mods would still be incompatible but they would work together, just act strangely.

Not sure if that's possible. The esps and esms are essentially cache files, and I'm fairly sure you cannot actively update individual values to individual files inside caches, especially when the game is only loading up scripts, models, etc when they are needed.. If it were possible that's probably what they would have done.
I was having a wonderful dream about skyrim last night. I dreamed I made an Argonian and I started off as a baby (Like Fallout 3). Soon after I was a kid, and then a full adult. I left my home and entered a vast clearing with a sprawling forest. There was a bunch of people surrounding a well as if they where living their lives. They greeted me with "Hello!" "How are you?".
I began to walk into the seemingly endless forest with nothi-*RIIIIING RIIIING*
....Goddamnit....
Installed OGE V2 and DarN UI, Title screen is invisible.
God Damn it.

Except this is running on a new engine, so I see no reason why they shouldn't change some things to work a bit differently.

Bearded throwing Axe.

Bearded throwing Axe with a Bearded dragon spirit enchanted into it. It becomes free once it tastes blood.

So what Dovahkiin says in the trailer is Fus-Ro-Dah, which translates into force-balance-push?

Yes, and probably acts like a force push.
I dont remember was this confirmed
If there's going to be asome sort of paid Travel service (lke that huge bug thingy in MW, even if you can't use it) It's be nice to sometimes see it passing by (Because other people actually travel, imagine that!)
I really hope they'll make the world more living.

That's one of the reasons I'm so excited for this game. From what it sounds like, people still going about their business when you talk to them, their own daily schedules, the world is going to be realistic.

I'm hoping that people go to sleep, and are able to be woken up if you don't sneak. I can't remember if that was true in Oblivion, though.

Just like Oblivion, eh?
Stay realistic.

They already confirmed fast travel from anywhere, which sucks :sigh:
Why complain about fast travel? Explain why it's a bad thing to me.
If you don't want to use it, then don't use it. Always seemed like a trivial thing to argue or complain about in my opinion.

Still it'd be nice to see other npc's riding a hired carriage or some shit, would make taking the distance on foot/horse more interesting.

I don't mind it if it doesn't cut down on the variety in the wilderness, but from watching the transition from morrowind to oblivion, the addition of fast travel seemed to cut down quite a bit on the quality of the wilderness. In Morrowind it was great to run through and interesting to explore, in Oblivion it was lazily copy/pasted everywhere with little to no variety.
If they added a RDR kind of go-to place style with another npc I wouldn't complain. (as long as it's used sparingly.)
Except this is running on a new engine, so I see no reason why they shouldn't change some things to work a bit differently.
It's not that simple. One of the main reasons modding is so easy is because of the cache system, and you can't update single values in cache files.

Aside from creating an incentive to generate the wilderness as apposed to make it by hand, it also create an incentive for developers to place objectives on the other side of the map for basically no reason. You can't really not-use fast travel in Oblivion, unless of course you like long, long walks through generated forests. In Skyrim if sidequests are "localized" then I'll probably skip out on fast travel all together. Aside from that Teleportation in Oblivion was basically a built in cheat, there absolutely no downside. In daggerfall and arena, you need to eat and sleep while you travel, so natrually some of your gold gets spent when you fast travel; but in Oblivion you just flip open your map, and essentially teleport right to wherever you want to go.
Though, the one thing they should not do this time is mark cities. You should need to walk to a city at least once before you can fast travel back to it.

What? People did travel in Oblivion. If you don't believe me check some NPC schedules on UESP.

He said Morrowind.... He's not talking about Oblivion.
In morrowind there's boats and silt strider services, but you never see them moving.. he's saying that if there's travel services like wagons, strider, boats, etc, then it'd be nice if you'd see other people using them from time to time.

Wish you could only fast-travel from roads and cities, if you sidetrack off a road you need to find your back again instead of instantly teleporting to a city

Best thing would be like, at all those random useless Inns you find in Oblivion, there was a guy with a horse drawn wagon or something and you could pay gold to go places, same idea with docks on the rivers so you could get to cities.

Better: You can use those to fast-travel to any location as long as it is on a road, connected to the road or at the riverbank
So you could just travel to buttfuck nowhere and walk into the forest
