People even bothered with poisons? Game was so popamole you could just punch people to death wearing nothing.
Durr oblivion bad
You don't like Oblivion. We get it. We got it pages ago. We still don't care. Shut up. Thanks.
Hype and marketing. [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline] Look at Episode 3.
Look at ep3, yeah I love the website by valve and the screenshots, adverts and everything marketing for ep3 that valve has.... oh wait.

Are you saying that poisons were even worth the effort (minimal) required to make and apply them?
So what because I think Oblivion was bad I can't join in on the discussion? Why you discriminate?
Because all you do is make the same point again and again and contribute nothing else to the thread. Have something useful to say or get out.
Because all you do is make the same point again and again and contribute nothing else to the thread. Have something useful to say or get out.
The point I made was that poisons were useless and not worth bothering with. I'm right aren't I? Their benefit is so small that the amount of time required to make the right one and go into your inventory to apply it isn't worth the minor benefit it gives you in combat, especially considering you'd be better off just carrying another health potion. Is my point not useful because it's not positive? Is my point not useful because you disagree with me?
Try deleting your ini files.
Where are they, I'm gonna hunt these fuckers down.
Where are they, I'm gonna hunt these fuckers down.
My Documents\My Games\Oblivion.
I fucking hate Oblivion. First I spend hours and hours trying to get mods working, and failing. Then after deleting the entire Oblivion folder and redownloading from steam, the game won't even make it past the first loading screen to get to the main menu. I'm sick of this shit.
So are you hitting your computer tower with a magnetized hammer while trying to play it or what?
Oh boy, Riutet still shitting up threads and arguing over everything, what a surprise!
More like the fact that your overall opinion of Oblivion (don't even try to disguise it, you had clearly taken another jab at the game as a whole in that post with the "game was so popamole" remark.) is in the minority here and we're getting tired of hearing you say it over and over.
But the game being so popamole was a key reason why poisons were so useless. I admit that I could word it more politely, like perhaps "Oblivion's combat was so bad and the NPC's AI so easily exploited that you needn't even bother using poisons because they don't put up anything resembling a fight in the first place." Just seems redundant, popamole is basically just a synonym for what I just said.
Ok, deleting the INI files got the game working! However, there is still an issue (with mods). I feel that OBSE is not working. I ran the game disabling all mods, worked great. I ran the game with mods that did not require OBSE, worked fine. Then I slowly started enabling mods and testing. Seems that OBSE mods crash the game And my game crashes at this point: I create a character, then in the top corner it says some stuff about Unofficial Oblivion Patch loading, then it says "Autosave", then it promptly CTDs. How exactly do I install OBSE? I put the steam loader and the other two files it asked into the steamapps/common/oblivion folder.

Set the difficulty slider to 100% and see how easy the game is.
Set the difficulty slider to 100% and see how easy the game is.
Yeah, i have, but that's stupid way to judge the games AI
I can't wait to see the hundred of anime and nude mods for this game, only to feel as if I'm the only one who doesn't put those mods on my game.
Set the difficulty slider to 100% and see how easy the game is.
Really? Turn the difficulty slider to 100%? That's how you make the game harder? That's ingenious boy, why didn't I think of trying that? Oblivion is absolved! [editline]24th March 2011[/editline]
but it wasn't that bad... though, I know you think your opinion on oblivion = fact
My opinion on Oblivion is that it is a very, very bad game that I enjoyed exploring but ultimately was ashamed to have played after seeing everything. My objective opinion on Oblivion is that the game is so painfully average, that is has so few redeeming features, so many serious flaws, that I don't see how it's even possible anyone could call it a good game. Literally a 4 to 5 out of 10 game. http://rpgcodex.net/content.php?id=142 I think this review about nails it, bit generous though.
Again with the arguments. So many posts, so little use. Why hasn't anyone just put each other on ignore yet?
Well I personally haven't because I don't get upset when people disagree with me, and I imagine it's probably the same case for everyone else.
You're right, you'd rather just carry on a dead argument for the sake of it. :colbert:
Playing oblivion, on way to find martin, exploring cave, got infected by vampire and turned, cue LONG ASS FUCKING QUEST TO FIND CURE, murdered a wizard in his bed for his soul gems, got inducted into dark brotherhood, stole some shit during various contracts, got caught, went to jail, got inducted into thieves guild, became head of said guild, finally finish quest and am cured of vampirism, celebrate by wandering Imperial city at daytime, go into arena, lose all money on bets, join as fighter, win money and get to rank of champion, sent on quest by grey prince, finish quest and repeatedly stab grey prince in face... "Oh, wait, yeah, I was supposed to be finding a guy and saving the world. sorry, I got distracted." And THAT is why Oblivion is awesome.

I perceive that Skyrim will be finished by tomorrow and that I will receive a free copy through my mailbox. I perceive a sandwich into my hands. I perceive that this thread goes back to being about Skyrim.
