The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim "And your beard's beard has beards too"
I admit, it looks pretty lame, but complaining about that is kinda meh. Armor coverage isn't always a bonus, as every medival armor portrayed in video games severely limit the persons movement. There is a reason why fencers are wearing thin white instead of heavy armor. Even with real swords, movement can be more vital that protection
I think people still prefer wearing fucking clothes with their armor instead of using it as a bikini :v:
I don't think you guys realize there is nothing realistic about that game.
At all.
Your argument would be more credible if the woman's armor in that game wasn't so stripperiffic and obviously designed for fanservice/appeal over practicality.
I actually thought they man's clothes were more outrageous than her. Probably because after a couple of million times, you get so used to half-naked elves that they no longer have that much of an effect on you
I know, but the woman is wearing almost NOTHING and the guy isnt wearing a shirt.
Doesnt look really usefull when you gotta save the world. Atleast wear cloth.
True

It looked a lot like clothes to me, I've seen way worse.
I hope we can wear HUGE shoulderpads because I love them and they look badass.
Slay a dragon and make a Dragon Scale Shoulder, or rip off his head and make his skull into a shoulderpad.

90's Kid, is that you?
You use the Steam version, right? Well, a quick search around the intertubes has brought this to my attention: The Steam .exe of Oblivion is different from the retail one. This means that mods which modifies it, like OBSE and MGE will not work. Which sucks, since it is used for several really awesome mods.
I guess I could help people with installing some mods, although I am not that good at it. I just install a bunch of mods systematically, run BOSS then I go and play. I do make sure I don't install mods that directly messes each other up though. Last time I reinstalled I spent one entire day downloading and installing mods. I'll add a tiny bit of text next to a few of the mods.
This isn't right, obse supports the steam exe:
OBSE provides official support for:
Oblivion & Shivering Isles build 1.2.0.416. This is the latest official build of Oblivion. It provides fixes for the FormID problems and supports Shivering Isles. All users will need to update to this build in order to use OBSE v0017 and later.
Steam build 1.2.0.416 (in v0017b)
Are you launching the game with obse_loader.exe ?
It's not like the new vegas one where the steam overlay itself loads nvse.

Celtic warriors wore absolutely fucking nothing, except from a tiny golden collar. They still kicked ass.
Beards :clint:
I love how deadly reflex redoes the FPS view.
There is headbob now, and with the SP1 legs and a more realistic FOV (as in, not holding your weapons directly in front of your face) its simply amazing.

it's a game about magic and demons and you're complaining about what they're wearing

jesus fucking christ how many times do I have to say this
bethesda SOFTWORKS =/= bethesda GAME STUDIOS
one's a PUBLISHER, one's the DEVELOPER of the ELDER SCROLLS games

Any reccomended mods for Morrowind (Not MGE or MWSE)?
Most things Published but not done by Bethesda are shit though.
Not all of them though.

I'm not sure you understand the meaning of "fiction" and "games"
But hey! It's more realistic than Modern Warfare 2!

who let the modders into the dev studio?!?!?
Celtic warriors wore absolutely fucking nothing, except from a tiny golden collar. They still kicked ass.
Most celtic warriors actually fought with clothing. There were a few who wore only loinclothes (and a collar) but not all.

You are boxes.
So was there ever any word on whether those Arkane Studios guys were working on Skyrim?
I really hope they are, those guys are geniuses.

I wish more games would do that by default. Fuck the standards of FPS, I want immersion! No one holds their weapons like that, and people can see their legs when they look down!
This isn't right, obse supports the steam exe:
Oh, thanks! Seems they fixed that down the line at some point. That is awesome then!
I have no idea how people can have so much trouble installing those mods then. The only times I have had problems have been either load orders that do not work, or me being impatient and installing without reading the readme properly.
I want one thing in an elder scrolls game...
Cthulhu
Wouldn't it be AWESOME If they released Skyrim in a box like this?

Or even better, one of those bigger boxes with the big flap door on the front with additional screenshots. I really miss those and I hate how most games these days are released in boring DVD cases..
Looks a bit oldschool.
I'd like a hardcase box made out of dragon bones.

Yeah it is oldschool. But I think a big box like that would compliment a game like Skyrim. I remember buying the huge box that came with the original Baldurs gate and the box really makes it feel like a huge game is inside :)
>greentexting outside of image boards
>so what
Anyone know how to get Oblivion working properly with Wine? I have it installed, but I only get sound on the launcher and the intro logos. Everything else is quiet. I've been wanting to play either Oblivion or Morrowind since I pre-bought Skyrim, but it won't work right. :saddowns:
I want an old-school style box that is completely black on the outside (console name/ PC goes on the underside) with an embossed "The Elder scrolls V: SKYRIM" with a nice broken scaly rock texture.

Kinda stealing that from Ultima VII: The Black Gate, aren't ya?
