Yea but you do in oblivion+
Well it's not like we wear medieval armor in everyday life, or even at all now days.
Well some people who like the time period do wear it from time to time. Myself included, though my "from time to time" is "almost never but who knows"
Well it's not like we wear medieval armor in everyday life, or even at all now days.
But we all totally would. And hopefully will, some day.
Well some people who like the time period do wear it from time to time. Myself included, though my "from time to time" is "almost never but who knows"
I wear renaissance clothing. Sometimes, not to school, unless it looks modern.
I think your sense of realism has been distorted by anime. Pls go.
I take it you haven't practiced either then
This. Because a suit of armour doesn't weigh that much when it's hanging off you, you can still dodge without an issue if you've been trained appropriately.
Apparently Brodras of the Fighter's Guild can train people how to better use Heavy Armour. Odd for a Bosmer, but he can offer basic training.
going to ask here instead because the tes thread is more or less dead. i'm going to play through morrowind, so i was just wondering if there's any mods that adds a lot of weapons and/or armor
Yea but its pretty obvious that more armor is better. Damage reduction and all.
Not if you're trained in light armour, and more armour is heavier and louder when you're trying to sneak and slows you down.
Not if you're trained in light armour, and more armour is heavier and louder when you're trying to sneak and slows you down.
The difference is this. Heavier armor should be used when you expect the enemy to see you and actively engage you. If you manage to avoid combat and somehow sneak up on him, then great, added bonus. (probably not going to happen). Lighter armor is used for getting away, and for attacking while the enemy is either not aware of you, or too far away to do anything. Therefore it is used mostly for skirmishers/archers/etc. You can dodge all you want in light armor, and you may be able to have them not hit you at all, but if you try to kill them head-on, you're going to get killed. -- Unless it's like a rat, or something.
Light Armor is most badass.
Yea, you look badass but you die easy.
If Skyrim doesn't include the city guards, I'm going to cry.
I liked heavy armor better, 100 blunt skill goes great with heavy armor.
Yea, you look badass but you die easy.
Light armor doesn't look badass in reality. It's not your ninja shit, it's a thick segmented leather or cloth shirt or jacket. Anime, however...
How dare you assume I am talking about weaboo shit. Fuck you and your entire family.
I'unno, huge shining steel armor looks much more badass and frightening than a fat brown shirt.
depends on the design, Oblivion's Leather Armor is UGLY AS FUCK. just sayin'
Actually almost everything was better designed in morrowind.
I'unno, huge shining steel armor looks much more badass and frightening than a fat brown shirt.
Depends man. I do prefer the plate armour but still, there are some damn awesome-looking light/leather shits out there.
Depends man. I do prefer the plate armour but still, there are some damn awesome-looking light/leather shits out there.
yeah, Like Ezio's Leather Armors, for instance.
Like bondage gear.
Whenever I was bored in Oblivion, I left everything in the inn and went hunting wolves in the night. Unarmed and naked. Damn, if a game allows you to pull some Bear Grylls / Les Stroud shit, you MUST do it at least once.
-snip- so late.
Fuck hunting wolves hunt GIANTS motherfucker. OH SHIIIIIIIIIII-
Why are you hunting a giant naked. :crossarms:
Why are you hunting a giant naked. :crossarms:
Seems like the giant is hunting him.
Why are you hunting a giant naked. :crossarms:
Adds a challenge.
Fuck hunting wolves hunt GIANTS motherfucker. OH SHIIIIIIIIIII- [img_thumb]http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/rr246/Mikedestruct/Oblivion/Oblivion2010-06-0515-49-26-42.png[/img_thumb]
I am now officially afraid of this game.
This won't end well.
I wish an RPG had realistic combat in the way of you actually having to cut through pieces of armor to make a vulnerable spot there, instead of lowering the damage you did. Dark Messiah did a lot of things right, Skyrim should take a lot of their ideas. Also for enemy types. Make enemies actually intimidating when they wear intimidating armor. Whenever I saw a daedric knight in Oblivion, I was hoping that he'd drop armor pieces, not afraid of him in any way. If you look at the vampire knights from Dark Messiah on the other hand, those guys were scary and a real challenge. And lets not talk about vampire knights on hard combat difficulty. That's how awesome combat works. Hoping Skyrim cuts its part of the Arkane cake.
