dark messiah especially did the 'kick enemies down stairs into physical objects' part right. god i loved that shit.

The physical combat in DM was awesome, but what I was most impressed with about it was how being a pure spellcaster wasn't a death sentence. In a lot of games using magic means you're practically helpless in close combat. In Dark Messiah, you could actually dish out enough damage and protect yourself with magic. Best memory I had was luring orcs down a staircase past an ice slick, where they'd slip and roll off of a cliff.

There was more "things falling down stairs" action than an episode of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff.

I think that DM combat system would be awesome, but Bethesda has to remember that it's a RPG game, which means the game needs many quest solving/failing options. Yet, we have to wait for some more gameplay.

There aren't that many sets of armour in Oblivion, and once you start getting all the higher level stuff, all the things have a distinct look that looks like shit if you put it together with any of the other sets.

One think I love when playing RPGs is arriving in a new city at night, it's just great. Hopefully Skyrim will not disappoint when I do it then. Also, I can't really say why I like Argonians so much, perhaps it's because they're in such a minority, I usually gravitate towards the lesser-know or niche things... [sp]Or perhaps I find them sexy.[/sp] Also also, the Oblivion theme is starting to regrow on me.
