From October this year, I will only listen to bands like Amon Amarth and Manowar. I will hook it up to a device and transfer the sound waves intravenously directly into my heart. [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline]
:hawaaaafap:
I can't decide if I want to be a badass stealth character with a dagger, sword, and a bow; or a huge viking guy that only uses a two-handed battleaxe
There must be beards. There's a clan in the game called the Greybeards!
The Todd Howard interview podcast is here! http://www.gameinformer.com/b/podcasts/archive/2011/02/03/toddhowardse.aspx
lol, horse armor Damnit, spears would be awesome. Like stabbing someone and doing an overhead pancake flip.
If not spears, then javelins or some other ranged weapons. Bows and arrows are cool and all, but I like a little variation.
They got rid of spears?
They didn't have spears in oblivion.
They better have the whole 9 fucking yards this time in terms of weapons. They need to match or best Morrowind's selection, there was barely anything in oblivion. It's not like it's even that hard to model swords, modeling guns is way harder and most games nowadays have no problems throwing in tonnes of guns. There's no excuse for not having an absurd arsenal of weapons. Spears, halberds, axes, maces, broadswords, longswords, katanas, wakizashis, tantos, and all in a shitload of different materials, and I assume they'll bring back the "nordic" array of weapons. Hopefully they get a bit better with armor, too. I like what I've seen so far, but I really, really hope that the Imperials have Roman-style armor. It looks so badass :saddowns:
They didn't have spears in oblivion.
Yeah, I kind of gathered that from playing the game. What exactly is your point? (hah, spears, point, my bad joke)
There will be beards. Sheogorath had one way back in the shivering isles, never mind the previous two fallout games. Relax jeez
Yeah, I kind of gathered that from playing the game. What exactly is your point? (hah, spears, point, my bad joke)
You said "They got rid of spears?", something that means they had spears to begin with.
You know, for a game that's supposedly been in development for around 4 years, they sure are unsure about where they're going with a lot of the stuff they talked about. They don't even know if they'll have horses. Although his comment on how it's better to have hand-written quests than it is just to be "Fully Dynamically Generated" made me happy. It's good to know he at least is learning that Dynamic/Radiant whatever doesn't mean everything.
You said "They got rid of spears?", something that means they had spears to begin with.
They got rid of spears from morrowind
You said "They got rid of spears?", something that means they had spears to begin with.
They had spears in morrowind, and "Getting rid of something" can also mean getting rid of a possibility, which it was, considering it sounds like they're taking some leaves out of morrowind's book.

I'm also hoping that this game will have at least twice as many items, especially more weapon and armor types. And a lot of uniques that just make it worth it for beating a particularly difficult dungeon.

Dwemer as well as Centurions are as good as confirmed.

That was Indescribable epic
Some guy ripped the soundtrack from that interview and it sounds awesome. I can clearly here more of Morrowind and Oblivion's themes in it. I am so hyped for this game, it's not even healthy
There must be beards. There's a clan in the game called the Greybeards!
i will jump off that fucking mountain if i walked those 7000 steps just to see that the Greybeards have no beard.
Skyrim will be awesome. [editline]4th February 2011[/editline] Without beards it will be only half as awesome though...
