The radiant AI quests sound a lot like the quests in Daggerfall, in which case there'll be a lot of side-quests. It's quite a brilliant system, I don't know why Morrowind and oblivion don't have it. Basically they pre make a bunch of generic "quest scripts" in which there's X nord man who needs X item and you need to go to X to find X breton man to find the location of item X and then head off to X dungeon to find the X item. Basically you have the basic storyline of the quest, but the items, people and locations are interchangeable. X is defined by a large selection of "quest locations" (which will designate the location of random targets or items) and designated "possible questgivers" so basically the entire quest system is dynamic, you may never play the exact same quest ever again. Though it'll probably take a fair amount of voice acting to do this, but it couldn't be too bad if they just have 80 or so dynamic sidequests and just record the race and gender-specific dialogue for it, and then have 30 or so "fixed" side-quests that never change. At any rate, I'm guessing the "radiant AI quests" are basically going to be a more sophisticated version of daggerfall's quest system.
I'm in love with the music from this series. Seriously, it's the only video game music that everyone (even nongamers) should listen to.

[editline]26th March 2011[/editline]
I think they'll use the fallout way of equipping things this time, less clipping, more cool clothes :v:
No please not. I prefer Morrowind style for customisation.
No please not. I prefer Morrowind style for customisation.
I haven't played morrowind, how does it work?
I haven't played morrowind, how does it work?
There's ALOT of different armour pieces you can put on. Even different shoulders and I could be wrong but different wrist armour too? Basically every single piece of the body can have a different piece of armour! :v: Though I haven't played Morrowind in about 6-ish years so I could be wrong.
I just had the worst fucking thing happen to me.... Was playing my Oblivion game that I've clocked 212 hours on and I fucking saved over it with a new character.... I wanna cry now.
I just had the worst fucking thing happen to me.... Was playing my Oblivion game that I've clocked 212 hours on and I fucking saved over it with a new character.... I wanna cry now.
I always make atleast 5 different saves when I save, just to be safe :v:
I'm in love with the music from this series. Seriously, it's the only video game music that everyone (even nongamers) should listen to.
Well it's not the ONLY video game music, far from it, but more people should listen to it, yeah.
Yep, it was like that.
Let's see : cuirass, helmet, 2 pauldrons, 2 greaves, boots, 2 gauntlets/bracers and optionally a shield. A lot of it, certainly.
yeah i'd rather have it fallout style
yeah i'd rather have it fallout style
Yeah get to the Fallout Megathread then.
Yeah get to the Fallout Megathread then.
Yes because wanting a feature from another game means he needs to go to another thread.... so everyone that wants combat from dark messiah, fuck off and go to the dark messiah thread.
I was actually really disappointed the mix n' match armour customisation wasn't in Fallout so I'll be peeved if they don't put it in Skyrim.
Notice one thing - first Fallout games had the very same system as the new ones, so accordingly Skyrim should keep to the old multi-part armour system.
Notice one thing - first Fallout games had the very same system as the new ones, so accordingly Skyrim should keep to the old multi-part armour system.
I hope so, but the stuff in the trailer looks all like its all one outfit :/
I hope so, but the stuff in the trailer looks all like its all one outfit :/
Well a full set of armor usualy looks like one outfit... that's the idea
Well a full set of armor usualy looks like one outfit... that's the idea
Well,... yeah, lets just hope its not like in fallout, I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I like how its handled in oblivion/morrowind better.
:saddowns:
sorry, morrowind was a demanding game when it came out but that was back in fucking 2002, are you seriously telling me your main pc is crap by 2002 standards, how does it even run without dying of shame [editline]26th March 2011[/editline]
Rarely does anyone get along well with Generic Monk when directly conversing [editline]o[/editline] Yes, I am exaggerating
yeah you better be, I resent these accusations that I'm prejudiced against people without ankle avatars People with ankle avatars though, definitely. I meant anime avatars by the way, not ankle. Fucking iOS spellcheck.
Generic Monk, noone likes you. We just use you for Elder Scrolls Megathreads.
I hope Skyrim has way more books this time around.
I hope Skyrim has way more books this time around.
Yes, and more varied. Always found it kinda silly that a person would keep a dozen copies of the same book in Oblivion.
Generic Monk, noone likes you. We just use you for Elder Scrolls Megathreads.
gmonk owns. meanwhile nothing good ever comes from your posting.
I hope Skyrim has way more books this time around.
I would like to see some conspiracies or similar stuff in books, like people communicates through books and put secrets in them e.g paths to secret treasures
