It's like the Dead or Alive games.

Why?
I can't wait to bomb some dodongoes
I cant wait to BEARDS.
"Invincible to age?" Do you mean immortal? Then yes. All daedra are ageless and can't be killed. Destroying them only sends them back to the waters of Oblivion until they reform. I wonder how big a part daedra will play in Skyrim. They kind of were the stars of Oblivion, and without great big gates spitting them out everywhere, they probably won't be nearly as common. What about summoning the Princes? Will they be included as well? I would think their shrines would be much harder to find, as daedra worship probably got very unpopular after the Oblivion Crisis.
But you know, at the end of Shivering Isles [sp]YOU become Sheoghorat[/sp] and, well, since he has been included in every main TES so far, why not in Skyrim? Would be awesome to meet "him". [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] Also: Nords = Vikings Where did people pick up that Vikings had horns? I mean, It looks badass, but what?
I guess them archeologists found some horned helmets in a viking settlement. [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] At least, that's what my inner Captain Obvious is saying.
They had no horns.

Look it up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geatish_Society
I'd probably blame the Coconut effect.
Erm, I heard that some german students wore those at some events dressing as vikings back in 19th century, but there is no proof for the horned helmets being worn by vikings.
Guys guys guys :buddy: [sp]Only 227 days left.[/sp]
They had no horns.
They had drinking horns
I hear Nehrim is good, anyone confirm?
It's not bad. I've not finished it though personally. It's annoying that you have to walk everywhere and the only option to fast travel is to buy expensive as fuck spells and buy expensive as fuck teleport runes for each location and each time you teleport. Each rune is used up when you teleport, so you have to buy them again after using it. It's like the opposite extreme of Oblivion's system... I would have much preferred to be able to pay a carrage or something between towns instead of only being able to teleport once or twice every two hours or so due to how little money you make in the game. At least the enviornments look good. The writing is okay, some of it feels very ham fisted, most notibly among the random NPC's. So I coudln't really get gripped in the story or setting all that well. Doesn't help that it starts off really slow. I think I stopped playing when I got Witcher for xmas as I was probably 10-15 hours into Nehrim and hadn't made much progress away from my starting location or abilities (and you need to grind a little in the game to get past certain quests or areas, so the next step in the main quest that involves leaving my area I can't actually do yet without dieing). It's both a benefit and a curse.
They had drinking horns
Those always seemed so impractical to me. You need to have stand for them or something, since you can't just set them on a table.
Those always seemed so impractical to me. You need to have stand for them or something, since you can't just set them on a table.
You make it sound as if they ever put them down while they still had alcohol in them. [/badjoke] Anyways, I think the drinking horns were only for special occasions, as I'm almost certain they had goblets as well.
Horns on helmets are awesome but impractical. [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] Oh boy, I can't wait for all the fantastic atmosphere and art style of Skyrim to get paved over by pages of Final Fantasy weapons, anime playermodels and waifu NPCs. Maybe I want to have ugly elves in my roleplaying game. :saddowns:

If it wasn't for the pics in TES threads I wouldn't even have known about it.

RIGHT? because that was pretty dumb for you to say, it's what a butthurt would say. Solution: don't go to the Nexus. Period
Huge spiders, You can set oil on fire... Arkane is DEFINATELY working on the combat. Also a collection of these facts i found the most interesting:

You can read in-game books in 3-D. - Very damn cool. cant wait. i always liked to take a break from adventuring by reading a book.
There is nearly as many dragons in Skyrim as Daedra Lords in Oblivion (99). - Cool. about 100 dragons. seems like a challenge.
You collect words for these shouts around the world, and there are three words for each shout, and there are three levels to them. The amount of time you hold down the shout button is how many words come out. - HNNNNGHHH!! I LOVE IT!
Once its been examined and equipped, a tap of RB slows the entire scene down for eight seconds, allowing you to casually plant arrows in the skulls of any surrounding enemies. - My... god...
[editline]28th March 2011[/editline]
Horns on helmets are awesome but impractical.
were probably used for religious ceremonial or ritual purposes.
Wait, 99 Daedra Lords? Never heard of that in Oblivion... You sure you don't mean Daggerfall? (according to UESP)
I read them from that page. I remember 12 daedra lords in oblivion? I guess it was it was mistyped.
I read them from that page. I remember 12 daedra lords in oblivion? I guess it was it was mistyped.
You mean the Daedric Princes? I'm guessing they're talking about something else. Either way, I'd prefer 100 dragons than 13.
Horns or not. Vikings still had their awesome beards.
http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/286552-skyrim-information/ The link has a bit more info than the OP's post

- The Dunmer mage Sul managed to escape from Oblivion by jumping from one daedric realm to another. He eventually arrived in Tamriel after thirty-eight years.
That guy sounds ridiculously awesome, holy shit. [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] Oh, he was in The Infernal City.
I wonder if you will be able to summon skeletons to do anything other than killing foes, imagine that. "Dovakhiin, my crops need workers!" BAM! Skeletons now work on the fields. "Dovakhiin, I could use a helping hand in the shop today." BAM! Now you have a skeleton as a cashier. They do the most boring side-quests and earn money while you're out fighting dragons. If you're not very skilled in mysticism, they can go batshit while you're away, slaughter the entire village and then peacefully rule the town, with guards, shops and kindergartens. I really need to learn modding. Like, right now.
Huge spiders, You can set oil on fire... Arkane is DEFINATELY working on the combat.
Because NOBODY ELSE in the whole world could ever think of setting oil on fire.
